Harlequin's POV (Current Day in The Freak Circus Universe)
[Harlequin's thoughts will be in italics + as with all my stories, none of this writing is final and it is subject to change frequently!]
Harlequin's golden-painted boombox perched atop his shoulder shattered the night with a ridiculously cacophonous song titled 'BUSTED' by Tokyo Machine. While loud, he personally deemed it a masterpiece of a melody. He could listen to the whole thing fifteen times and still be vibing to those sick beats. Such a legit beat, dude. The music thundered in and out of the night like it was offended by the lack of noise around the circus in the time of after hours. I'm such a badass, hah...~
I must look awesome, huh? Hehehe. Jester, who unfortunately heard the deafening tune, had their claws over and smashing against their animal-like ears under their hat. They easily appeared pretty exasperated.
"Would you turn that DOWN?!" Jester shouted over the rambunctious music, half growling.
Harlequin bluffed considering the request, "Hmm, could I?" his voice barely carried through the boombox's sound, "Nah, where's the fun in that, my friend~??"
Jester groaned in obvious vexation, "YOU ARE SO ANNOYING!!" they barked as Harlequin strutted away.
"A pleasure to do my job, Jester~! No one is quite as annoying as I am!" Harlequin shot in return jeeringly.
"GO BUG SOMEONE ELSE!!" Jester screamed, but even at that volume they couldn't even hear themselves.
Harlequin had already moseyed away, whistling at top volume alongside the ear-splitting boombox's absurd amplification. The golden boombox was rattling his entire body from the sheer noise.
