Dr. Harlow's POV (Current Day in the Animal Hospital Universe)

[As with all my stories, none of this writing is final and it is subject to change frequently!]

Dr. Harlow positioned himself and plopped down in the faculty meeting room's head chair. He steepled his hooves together for a moment, sighing heavily. Every staff member was on their way to the room. He hated to admit it, but it made him a bit nervous. The thought of so many pairs of eyes on him made him question the whole thing in the first place. No, this WILL be alright.

It is simply a meeting. A meeting will not kill you... or anyone else, Harlow. The door to the hidden room swung open and the first animal to arrive was Ron from Accounting. The lop bunny looked as if he walked through hell just to reach the place.

"Let's make this quick," Ron grumbled in exasperation, seating in the closest chair to Dr. Harlow, for as much professionalism he could muster.

"Agreed," Dr. Harlow muttered flatly.

The remaining staff trailed close behind Ron.

The second one was Ratthew, who slid onto the table and lifted his arms dramatically, "I HAVE ARRIVED!!"

Ron sighed heavily, pinching the bridge of his nose, "Ratthew, sit down in the chair like a normal animal."

The rat grinned mischievously, his long, bald tail swishing behind him, "What if I didn't~?"

Ron glared daggers at Ratthew, "Then I'll smack you off the freaking table."

Ratthew immediately scrambled off the table, "OKAY, OKAY, YES, SIR-"

"Good lord," Ron remarked to himself, folding his arms in exasperation, "I've barely been here for a few minutes and Ratthew is already being annoying."
