   Summary

   A routine Watchtower experiment sends Bruce and several members of the Justice League into a world ruled by a Superman who has already lost everything.

   The others escape. Bruce does not.

   When they finally return home, everyone believes Batman survived the impossible the way he always does. But something followed him back—something he cannot outthink, outfight, or bury beneath the cowl.

   As Bruce begins to unravel, the League is forced to confront what happened in the other world, what they failed to see afterward, and how far they are willing to go to bring one of their own home. And the dark side of betrayal by one of their own.
