Aizawa walked into class, taking a look at the kids' schedule. "Present Mic is going to be teaching English today." He said, leaving the classroom as quickly as he entered.
"Yo! We're gonna be moving onto a new book since y'all finished the previous one so quickly!" Mic announced, bringing in a box with him — presumably filled with copies of the book.
Iida raised his hand, and after getting a nod from Hizashi, "What book will we be reading?" he asked.
"You've probably heard of it, since it's such a classic, Mr. A's Farm!" He exclaimed.
Izuku let out a choked noise that sounded like the halfway point between a laugh and a wheeze and a cry for help.
Katsuki's eyes widened and his mouth stood agape as he stared at his teacher.
Mina made a sobbing noise that sounded suspiciously like a chuckle.
Tooru's hand flew to her mouth, covering it, though nobody could see her anyway.
Ochako glanced at Izuku, recognition in her eyes.
"What?" Ochako was the first to regain the ability to speak, and had the courage to ask Present Mic that.
"Mr. A's Farm, by George Orwell." He clarified, as if that solved anything.
"Uhm… Present Mic…" Izuku whispers, shaking like a leaf.
Mina bursts into laughter, loud in the previously silent classroom.
"Did you mean Animal Farm?" Izuku asked tentatively.
"Yeah, I just said that…" Present Mic looked bemused, and the students were quick to act like nothing happened.
"Yup! Definitely, Present Mic!" Tooru confirmed, a bit overenthusiastic.
"Totally!" Mina agreed, dragging out the o.
"Yeah!…" Izuku smiled nervously.
"Mhm!" Ochako affirmed.
"Present Mic…" Katsuki seethed. "What the fuck do you read?!" He shouted, tiny explosions popping in his hands.
"What are you talking about?" Mic asked. So he really had no idea what he said.
Katsuki scoffs, forcing himself to calm down.
"Am I the only one who doesn't know what Mr. A's Farm is?" Shoto asked quietly.
"Uhh, what are you talking about? We're talking about Animal Farm, not Mr. A's Farm!" Mic laughed nervously.
"No… You said Mr. A's Farm." Shoto said.
"Hah, what?"
Tooru starts laughing quietly.
"Oh… I suppose I did," he says. "Well, that's another novel. I just mixed up the titles. Sorry! Now come grab a copy of Animal Farm so we can start reading."
After class, Present Mic called the five of them into his office. On the way there, they were mostly silent, the fact that they read yaoi now an unspoken fact between them — except for Izuku and Ochako, who talk to each other about it.
"So… You all read?" Tooru asked.
"Yup…" Mina smiled, popping the 'P'.
"Yeah." Izuku choked out.
"Mhm" Ochako grimaced.
"What I read in my free time is none of your business, extra."
They finally got to the door. None of them made a move for it, until Katsuki muttered something about 'wasting my time' and went in, the others following behind him like lost puppies.
In the end, it was decided that in exchange for the students keeping Hizashi's secret, he'd keep theirs, and that's how the Yaoi Allegiance of UA was formed.
