Life Between Worlds

Summary:

"A quirk!" The greenette exclaimed, albeit a little too loudly, making almost every person in the room wince.

"A...quirk?" Aizawa asked, eyes narrowed in suspicion, and annoyance at Izuku's lack of a further explanation.

Izuku nodded eagerly, all too excited despite the grim situation. "Yup! I was hit by a quirk that transported me here." The boy explained.

Aizawa blinked. That made sense. He sighed deeply, closing his eyes briefly. He just knew that this wouldn't end well...

Chapter 1: An Awful Evening

Chapter Text

~☆~☆~☆~☆~

Izuku sighed deeply, pinching the bridge of his nose. God..why was the universe against him....

It felt like as if all the minor nuisances had decided that today was the day they would all gather in kanegawa city, the place where izuku so happened to patrol in today.

It actually wasn't usual for UA to let second years participate in the patrol exercise, but since his class was the infamous former class 1A— now 2A— nedzu had decided to make some accommodations for them.

Izuku didn't mind, he really didn't, infact he was happy he could still help contribute towards society, it was infuriating the number of times he'd tried to activate one of the predecessor's quirks, only to remember he didn't have them and having to rely on his natural strength in order to detain the villains.

Izuku sighed, grimacing, his head still throbbing from his last encounter.

He'd run into a few people harassing a teenage boy, and though easy to apprehend, he was sure one of them had managed to hit him with their quirk. Because one second, he was fighting the villains and the next he was slapped hard across the face and he blinked, and then  the entire alleyway was empty. He ended up having to search for those people for some time, but it was like they just...dissappeared

Izuku cursed himself internally, shifting the mask covering his face. That was another thing, apparently ever since then, wherever he went, people were giving him strange stares, which is why he'd tucked his face behind his mouth guard, even though it was starting to annoy him with how sweaty his face had gotten underneayh it.

He didn't know why they were acting like they were and he was fairly sure that he wasn't actively bleeding from his head or anywhere at that— and if he really thought about it, their looks weren't of concern, but maybe shock? Fear? But he didn't.

Izuku managed to drag himself all the way up to the gates of UA, his hands fiddling with his pockets as he pulled out his student ID. His head was still hurting, and he should probably go to recovery girl in the morning, but for now his sole goal was to get to the dorms before curfew ended. He was not in the mood to run suicide sprints tomorrow, he already had a migraine and had a mother to visit.

So with a mission in mind, he scanned his ID, the doors sliding open before he rushed through them, breaking out into a sprint towards Heights Alliance.

It was times like these where he really wished he still had his quirk—But it wasn't 'your' quirk— his mind supplied helpfully, and he shook his head. He was not gonna think about this, not now, not ever.

And eventually, he was standing infront of the 1A dorms—Crap no, it was the 2A dorms now—and he took a moment to catch his breath, reaching out to slide the door open.

He eased it shut behind him, toeing his shoes off. It was dark in here, which meant everyone had crashed in for the night. He was a bit disappointed, hoping to see his peers before he headed to bed, but he supposed it was because they too were exhaused from their own patrols, and didn't want to risk pissing their sensei off. Smart choice— he thought as he moved through the empty common room, stepping towards the elevator.

It dinged open, and he slid into the small mechanical box, the machine making a quiet rumbling sound as it ascended towards his floor.

He padded down the hallway, heading straight towards his room, hand wrapping around the door handle as he turned it and..It's locked?

His nose scrunched at that, confused because why was it locked? He never locked his door, heck none his friends did because they all trusted eachother, and the only times thay did was when they were headed home for the weekends, which clearly he hadn't.

He sighed for what felt like the umpteenth time today, turning on his heel and back towards the elevators again. On the wall beside it, was a key hanger, which interestingly enough was shaped like a key. Izuku smiled at that, always finding the object amusing.

He reached up and plucked off a few of the keys, looking through them for his own before hanging the rest back up, heading towards his room once more.

It clicked open with ease, and izuku just prayed that if this were a prank by either ashido or kaminari, thay didn't mess up his room too bad.

And he exhaled in relief when he stepped inside, not seeing anything drastically changed, though his rooms layout was different.

He blinked, letting his eyes adjust to the darkness of the room. As far as he could see, only a few of his things were misplaced. Like his bed—which he'd forgot to make in the morning—was now made, his pillows resting against the headboard.

His desk had been scattered with books and pens and other reading/writing material, but now everything was tucked away, set neatly over the wooden piece of furniture.

His merch looked just the same, which he wasn't too worried about, because his friends knew how much it meant to him and had sworn to never ruin it. His lips twitched upwards at the thought, his heart warming. He really loved his friends...

With that, he walked further into his room, amd towards his closet, pulling out a change of clothes. He did notice how a few of them were missing, but he chalked it up to his friends stealing them. He'd just ask them to give his stuff back in the morning, he hummed, nodding to himself as he stepped out of his hero gear, and into his nightwear.

But for now, he was exhausted, plopping down face first into his bed. It was strange that someone would just break into his room for the sole purpose of cleaning it up—ignoring the few things that were missing—but these were his friends he was talking about, and they were strange, but in a good way!

He yawned, curling up more underneath the sheets, the warmth embracing as he was slowly lulled to sleep. Maybe i could ask kacchan to make me katsudon tomorrow... he thought, before sleep claimed him.
