“You’re acting off today, what’s wrong?” Goro asked quietly, lips nibbling affectionately at Akira’s ear.
“Nothing,” he quickly reassured him and Goro huffed.
Akira keeps getting offered the same deal every second February. Each time, he refuses. Each time, it gets harder. Because Maruki simply never stops showing him the future he could have but never had.

Summary
Alhaitham and Kaveh go about their daily, routine lives and notice how irreversibly intertwined they've become. Alhaitham would like to keep it that way, perhaps even more, but Kaveh continues to pull away and build a wall between them. Life thrashes Kaveh around as he tries to deal with his feelings of self-worth and inferiority, while trying to keep Alhaitham at arms length. He's hurt and confused by it all, and tries to hide it, but Alhaitham knows. He's been hoping to just be given a chance to leap past the wall without getting refused.
Over the course of three days, they both battle their inner voices and give in.
