Summary
There are two things she knows about Carmilla: one, Carmilla sleeps most of the day, and two, Carmilla has a mole on her neck.
Since she’s come by, crashed here in a (fortuitous?) accident, Laura’s had strange dreams. Carmilla sleepwalks, and she also walks around unknowingly, wanderingly, even when she’s awake but Laura’s in the land of dreams, in the dead of night.
One night Laura awoke and Carmilla was standing right beside her, by her bedside, her nightstand pulled apart so Carmilla could look at her even closer. In the moonlight, Carmilla’s eyes were almost red. Laura blinked slowly, stupidly, and then said, “Did you get lost?”
Carmilla replied, “No, of course I did not get lost.”
So Laura offered: “Would you like to come to bed with me?”
