Summary
Zuko finds himself very much conflicted during the fight in the crystal caverns, and ends up fighting Azula- until an explosion causes a cave in, separating both Zuko and Sokka from the others, and sends them falling into the cave system below. Zuko is badly injured, but Sokka keeps him alive, and takes care of him until the two are able to escape the crystal caves.
Later, after the Gaang has regrouped a ship comes to bring Zuko home. He agrees, However- with his true plan being to free Iroh from prison and return to the others. During this time he realizes and comes to terms with what the feelings he has for Sokka really are, and debates what he should do about them, meanwhile Sokka is also coming to realizations about his own feelings.
When Zuko finally returns to the group shortly before the day or black sun, there aren’t just war plans to worry and talk about, but confessions of real feelings too.
