“Such a warm welcome.” The Ice Prince's gloved fingers barely brushed his, but the cold seeped into Hao's entire being. “I was beginning to wonder whether Fire still knew how to receive guests from Ice.”
Hao’s smile remained perfectly intact. “We do. We simply prefer our guests to remember that they are merely...guests.”
For the first time since the war, the Kingdom of Baihuo opens its gates to the Kingdom of Seolhwa for The Festival of First Flame in hopes to mark the beginning of peace.
Unfortunately for Prince Zhang Hao, he now has three problems: unwanted royal guests, a series of competitions to prove himself, and Sung Hanbin, the infuriating Ice prince who seems to have made getting a rise out of him a personal mission before the opening ceremony is even over.
What begins as a rivalry between the two princes slowly turns into the discovery that fire and ice might not be as incompatible as they believed. And while falling for each other was never part of the plan, stopping another war might become it.
