Olruggio is watching him with a peculiar look on his face, a mix of satisfied and indulgent and something else that Qifrey can’t name.
“You could do with some fussing,” he says quietly.
Set during chapter 94. After seeing the girls off to bed, Olruggio tries to take care of Qifrey. Qifrey tries to let him.

Would Olruggio keep trying to care for him like this, if he knew everything Qifrey has done to him? All the lies, all the memory wipes. If he remembered experiencing all of it, would he still reach for Qifrey with such gentle hands?
Again, inside Qifrey’s chest, guilt wars with longing.
