Summary
Lu Guang is used to waiting. As a kid, he held out against all odds and withstood every strike of that wretched man's hand, on the off chance that someone would save him from his abusive adoptive father.
He waited, and waited. But no one came. He couldn't help but think: even that boy from twelve years ago, the embodiment of freedom and everything Lu Guang desired, couldn't save him. So who could?
Perhaps something as abstract and confusing as "love" wasn't possible for someone like him, burdened by the scars of his childhood years. As he grew into adulthood, his main focus became saving his two dearest friends. He didn't have time to care about himself, even if it meant pushing away those he cared for.
