AU where Eggchan adopted Wifies, Wemmbu, Boosfer & Spoke. His perspective on how much his kids changed from their kids selves. (Basically a 5+1, kinda).

Notes:

Highkey going through difficult times irl so I'm de-stressing by writing my favorite au I made (which is literally random as hell LOL).

BUT ALSO, THE RECENT UNSTABLE VIDEOS ARE KILLING ME, BRO 💔💔💔 (it completely sent this au off the rails LMAO, we're ignoring canon, ok? Ok).

Enough of that, ok, this AU is Eggchan being a parent towards Wifies, Wemmbu, Boosfer & Spoke!!! (No one else knows about this family dynamic EXCEPT for MinuteTech). This AU mostly focuses on Egg & the latter three tho!

if u have any questions for this AU then feel free to ask.

Chapter 1: Little Brother Wifies

Chapter Text

Eggchan can remember the time when he took care of a young Wifies. The sheep hybrid being one of his only companion after being banished to the Overworld.

As a fallen angel, he was highly sought out for so he couldn’t interact with other players unless he wanted hunters knowing he exists. An Angel’s blood is one of the key ingredients on how regeneration potions are made. It doesn’t matter if he wasn’t an angel anymore; a fallen angel is still an angel in the eyes of the others.

While he didn’t necessarily needed companionship, —as books were all he was interested in— it does get lonely sometimes. Especially when he grew up with many siblings (or sisters since they were the only ones to really bond with him). Silence could get suffocating.

So, acquiring a baby a few years in his stay at the Overworld was a surprise, he still don’t know whether to label it as a positive thing or not. Eggchan have never taken care of a young thing, him being the youngest in the family, so he didn’t have any experience to go off of. What he did notice of the child is the connection he had to a sister of his.

As he learned later, the young child’s parents were an Angel and a Demon. His entire existence forbidden and frowned upon, he could be executed by the Aether once they found out he’s even alive. Which is why Eggchan was curious to why he isn’t yet. Through a piece of paper did the fallen angel know that it was his sister who left the young sheep hybrid in his care. Reason being that she knows her child would be dead if They knew of him. The trust made Eggchan kind of happy, so he did what a good brother would do and carefully took the baby in his house and begin caring for him.

Wifies (what he named the child after a year of taking care of him) wasn’t a difficult baby to take care off at all. In parenting books he read, it always talked about how a baby can be prone to a LOT of crying due to it being the only way they could express their needs and wants. Wifies wasn’t like that, instead, he was calm and seemed perfectly content in making specific quiet noises to say what he wants. It made Eggchan worry a little bit but, seeing Wifies unbothered and perfectly fine, he chalked it up to the mixed genes the child has.

Safe to say, he’d thought the young sheep hybrid would be easy with everything, for the most part, he is. It’s just there’s one thing that can absolutely make the baby scream his heart out.

Eggchan yelped, “Okay, okay! I won’t let go, please stop screaming.”

As soon as the fallen angel tucked the baby close to his chest again, did he finally quiet down from the explosive wailing he did. Wifies cooed and snuggled his little head insistently against him.

It made Eggchan question if this was the same baby who screamed his heads off just moments ago.

The fallen angel sighed, resigned to holding the baby until he could actually put him down without the risk of upsetting the little thing.

Wifies, as it turns out, is a clingy thing. Throwing a fit if he tries to put him down on his bed. Not stopping unless he holds the other close again.

It became quite such a problem that Eggchan needs to be close while the baby slept or else he’d start crying his lungs out. Thankfully, the fallen angel didn’t need sleep like a regular creature did, else he probably would have passed out from the amount of sleep he missed these past few weeks.

As years go by, Wifies remained attached to him. Eggchan, unfortunately, couldn’t let the sheep hybrid socialize with other players due to the bounty still on his head. It caused him a lot of discomfort as he knew that young kids thrive in connecting with other players. It’s one of Eggchan greatest failure, even if Wifies reassured he didn’t mind and liked spending time with him more than talking to kids his age.

Due to that, Eggchan makes sure to focus all of his attention on Wifies needs and wants. He’ll make sure the younger feels cared and loved by him if it’s the last thing he’ll do.

The fallen angel hummed as he put a puzzle piece at (hopefully) the right place. Eggchan is smart but his strengths were more on the literature side, puzzles being on his more weaker side. Wifies, however, thrived on such games. The sheep hybrid growing up as an incredibly smart player. It makes Eggchan smile as he thinks of how he certainly inherited it from his mother.

Still…

“This has been the twenty-five puzzle you’ve done this week, are you sure you’re not bored yet?” The fallen angel felt kind of inadequate for giving Wifies only puzzles this week.

He’s been meaning to buy other types of games but it’s hard to find so without risking going to the outer parts of the village. He’s already pushing it by going in the village at all.

The (now ten year old) sheep hybrids usual dark violet eyes —to the point Eggchan commonly mistaken it as black— lightened up with stars as they did their activity. Eggchan couldn’t help but smile at the brightness of Wifies eyes.

“Not at all! I really like doing these puzzles,” An expected response, the sheep hybrid have been obsessed with puzzles as of late.

His next words was what made Eggchan stunned and drop the puzzle piece in his hand, “But even if I do get bored, I still enjoy doing these because big brother Eggchan is doing it with me!”

The smile accompanied the heartfelt declaration was the final nail in the coffin.

Wifies didn’t smile often, —a trait he probably inherited due to his own nonchalance— but when he did, it never fails to make the fallen angel melt like ice.

Such precious innocence, Eggchan’s eye softened as he stared at the clearly happy Wifies.

“…Well, I wouldn’t trade spending time with my little brother for the world.”

Words laced with sappiness isn’t something that comes naturally to Eggchan but he tried his best to be as honest as possible.

The resulting hug that followed made the fallen angel promise to himself to be more affectionate to the young sheep hybrid.

…Though they did have to restart the puzzle because of Wifies abrupt motion dislodging it. Neither minded as they content themselves in being able to spend more time together.

Eggchan knew Wifies wouldn’t stay the same clingy baby forever, soon, he’ll grow up and long for independence.

So when the sheep hybrid reached 200 years old, the fallen angel somehow acquiring new children to take care of, he finally asked the dreaded question.

“Eggchan, could I go and explore the server? I know it’s abrupt— especially with the two new chaotic residents,” Wifies softly teased at the end.

The fallen angel paused at where he tucked the two chaos demon’s to sleep. Eggchan felt something twist in his insides but ignored it, “Don’t worry about them, I’ll take care of them no problem.”

The fallen angel stood up from the nest, beckoning Wifies along with him. Once they reached the kitchen did Eggchan finally answered the others question, “You can go explore, the server has a lot to offer— I’m sure you can find something to enjoy. Heard there’s a lot of puzzles and escape rooms to solve.”

The fallen angel smiled, it’s small but he hopes it coveys how much he just— cares for Wifies. It did the trick as the sheep hybrid quickly threw himself to glomp him like a child, only he wasn’t anymore, “Alright, you’re no longer young for me to be able to actually bear your weight, y’know? I almost fell.”

He hopes the joking tone he used will dispel the quiet gloomy atmosphere, Wifies let out a little giggle, “Thank you.”

It was hoarsely spoken, Eggchan didn’t say anything, only continuing to hold the last piece of his sisters love and the child he raised for 200 years.

--☆

Eggchan knew that it’ll be hard to maintain a close long distance relationship. He and Wifies tried, of course, often sending letters to each other for the first few months they were apart.

But with how chaotic Unstable is and Wifies own personal journey of discovering himself, it couldn’t really last long.

It’s been six months since the sheep hybrid last sent him a letter. Eggchan couldn’t help the quiet disappointment in him for that.

Seeing the clone of the child he once raised in the same server atleast quelled his worry of Wifies still being alive.

Eggchan is proud of how far Wifies come, there’s no doubt about it. Though, deep in the fallen angels heart, he quietly mourned the clingy little brother he used to have.
