   Summary

Cradle eggs never hatched anymore. But Daeron (three years older & wiser) said Aerion's would, and Daeron's dreams had been right about everything else so far.

In which seven-year-old Aerion performs accidental blood magic amidst his mother's funeral pyre -- changing Targaryen history forever. Maekar must raise an oversized flying lizard in addition to six children, while keeping traitors, Blackfyres, and assassins at bay. Alternatively: what happens when Aerion's cradle egg hatched while he is still 'a glad child'.
