    Summary

For so long Eddie has tried to push his seiðr away from himself, to prove to himself, to his mother, his entire family that he was a man that he was worthy, that he wasn't fragile, or even worse in their eyes, ergi. He was a soldier, he is a firefighter, a strong man that fights fire on the daily, and yet no one will ever see him as one. So when he leaves Texas, he's done trying to be someone that he isn't. He's done proving himself to people that won't ever see him. He just never thought that it would lead to him being practically ousted of the most important ritual of the year.
