Summary
Jay Gardiner made it out but he still needs to recover. It's not all sunshine and rainbows, and it certainly isn't something Jay thinks he can handle, now that he's escaped from danger. With the ever-present knowledge that his dad's remains will forever be lost at sea, and that Jay himself is permanently injured, he processes over the course of a year.
