Work Text:

"Jimin, do you like Taehyung?" Hoseok asked the red-haired boy who was looking down at his desk and hiding his face in his hands. Jimin shook his head but he knew that Hoseok didn't believe him. Hoseok had been best friends with Jimin since the younger was basically born. At this point, Jimin was convinced that the elder knew him better than he knew himself.

"Then is it Jungkook that you like?" Hoseok continued. Again Jimin shook his head.

"Talk to me Jimin. I know it has to do with them getting together. What's the matter?"

Jimin just shook his head once more. His eyes were shut tight behind his hands so that the tears that were welled up in them wouldn't fall. He was sure if he opened his eyes the tears would begin to cascade down his face. Hoseok sighed softly and then Jimin felt arms wrap around him pulling him out of his own seat and into Hoseok's lap. Jimin removed his hands from his face and looked down at Hoseok hesitantly. He saw the soft look the elder was giving him and he broke down. He buried his face into Hoseok's chest and cried. Jimin was thankful no one else was in the classroom and that it was unlikely anyone would come in for a while yet since it was still lunchtime.

"It's alright Jiminie. Everything will be ok," He heard Hoseok whisper into his hair as he rubbed circles into Jimin's back like he did whenever Jimin cried.

"I-it's n-not! N-no-nothing is!" Jimin stuttered out against Hoseok's chest.

"How so Jimin? Won't you tell me what's wrong?" Hoseok asked the younger who shook his head yet again.

"Please, Jimin? I hate seeing you so upset and not even knowing why." Hoseok pleaded with the younger but Jimin just shook his head, his wails becoming louder. So Hoseok did what he did best, he offered whatever comfort he could. He tightened his grasp on the younger protectively and rocked the both of them in an effort to calm Jimin. And he waited. He waited for Jimin to finish letting all the tears he'd been holding back for a while now, come out. Hoseok waited a good ten minutes before he felt the younger stop sobbing. Jimin sniffled and wiped away the last of his tears before lifting his head away from Hoseok's chest.

"Sorry hyung," Jimin whispered looking at Hoseok's tear-stained sweater in dismay.

"You know I don't mind Jimin...besides it's too warm for a sweater anyway...so will you tell me what's wrong now?" Hoseok tried again. Jimin took in a shaky breath before nodding lightly.

"I...I li-like b-both of th..them," Jimin finally said.

"Both? You mean both Taehyung and Jungkook?" Hoseok asked making sure he understood.

"... yes... I'm sorry," Jimin answered lowering his head feeling ashamed of his feelings. He felt it was wrong to like two people at the same time, especially when said two people were now dating each other.

"Hmm, I can't say I'm surprised by this..." Hoseok started, he placed a hand on Jimin's chin and slowly lifted it up to look Jimin in the eyes, "... don't be ashamed of your feelings Jiminie. It's ok to like two people at the same time."

Jimin teared up again and shook his head, not believing his hyung's words. "It isn't right! I...I shouldn't...like both of them...especially when I encouraged them to confess to one another...but it hurts hyung...it hurts so much!" Jimin said clutching at his chest as the tears fell again.

"I know Jiminie, I know...," Hoseok said hugging the younger again and patting his back.

"Wh-what am I su-supposed t-to do now hyung?" Jimin asked sobbing. Hoseok didn't answer right away, thinking about how to answer.

"I'm not sure Jiminie...but maybe...you should confess to them?" Hoseok suggested. Jimin pulled away from their hug in horror shaking his head saying, "No! No! I can't! That would be so selfish of me! It would mess up our friendship!"

"Jimin listen to me. Calm down," Hoseok demanded while placing his hands on Jimin's cheeks to keep his head in place. Jimin stopped moving and looked at Hoseok with desperate eyes.

"Jimin...you need to be selfish more often... You knew Taehyung liked Jungkook and that Jungkook liked Taehyung and even though you liked them both you still helped them get together, what does that say about you?" Hoseok asked softly.

"That I'm pathetic, I couldn't pick one and so I let both of them go," Jimin answered feeling horrible.

"No! That's not what it means at all! You aren't pathetic Jiminie. You're so kind and selfless. You put them first, you brought them together because you placed them in front of your own feelings! If that's not selfless what is?... You've never been selfish Jimin, and I've known you since you were born. You always think about others before yourself, and while that's good at times, sometimes you need to be more selfish Jimin... This is one of those times. Don't think about the consequences, just tell them know how you feel and let what happens, happen. It might not turn out as bad as you think... Whatever happens, you know you always have me. I'll make sure things turn out alright in the end," Hoseok said. He knew that this small lecture wouldn't be enough to rouse Jimin into action, but that wasn't the point. He just needed Jimin to know that he supported Jimin and that he would be there for him.

"...I can't do it hyung," Jimin whispered after a minute. Hoseok nodded and let go of Jimin's face, having guessed Jimin would say that.

"Then what do you want to do?" Hoseok asked softly sensing Jimin already knew what he wanted to do.

"...I...I want to forget," Jimin answered looking down at his hands. "I... want to... forget my feelings."

"That won't be easy," Hoseok commented and Jimin merely nodded, he knew it wouldn't be, but he didn't want to burden Taehyung and Jungkook with his feelings for them.

"If that's what you really want...then ok. How can I help you forget?" Hoseok asked wanting to help the younger in any way possible even if he didn't think Jimin was doing the right thing.

"Keep them... away from me... I don't want to be alone with them," Jimin whispered.

"... Are you sure that's what you want? You really want to avoid them?"

"Yes... it's for the best... I'll get over them faster if I stay away."

"But you're friends with them... they'll worry."

"No they won't... they have each other now, they won't even notice."

"I think you aren't giving them enough credit Jimin."

"Please hyung? Don't let me be alone with them ever. Please make up excuses for me?"

"Alright... if you're sure about this," Hoseok said uncertainly. Jimin nodded, certain of his decision.

"Ok. I'll help you keep your distance... use me as an excuse whenever you need.... and I'm here to talk if things get too much," Hoseok said grabbing Jimin's hand and squeezing it lightly. Jimin nodded knowing the older would always be there for him, they were practically brothers after all. Jimin knew he could trust Hoseok with anything and everything, their bond had always been strong and Jimin doubted it would ever be anything but unbreakable.

"Thank you hyung," Jimin said and hugged the elder tightly. Hoseok hugged back saying, "Anytime Jiminie." While they were hugging, the door to the classroom opened and they heard two voices giggling to each other as they entered the classroom.

"Hey Hoseok hyung, Jimin hyung. Why did you two leave so quickly?" Jimin heard Jungkook say from behind them.

"Yea, why? You just congratulated us and then left! Wait, is Jimin ok?" Taehyung asked. Jimin buried himself in Hoseok's arms to indicate he wasn't ready to face them. Hoseok wrapped his arms around Jimin's hips and stood up, letting the younger wrap his legs around his waist.

"Yea sorry for leaving so early. Jiminie isn't feeling too good, I'm just going to take him to the nurse's office, will you let the teacher know for me?" Hoseok asked the two youngsters before walking out of the room knowing they'd do what he asked.

"Thank you," Jimin whispered once again and Hoseok just nodded, carrying Jimin towards their lockers to gather their things.

"Let's skip school for the rest of the day, we've already been to the important classes, and I don't think anyone would mind. Plus I'll treat you to ice cream," Hoseok offered as he was setting Jimin down next to their lockers and turning the locker dial to punch in the combination.

"Have you entered your rebellious stage hyung?" Jimin joked as he took his backpack from Hoseok who merely smiled at him and nodded before opening his own locker to gather his things.

"Ah no hyung, you can't be rebellious! You're supposed to be my role model," Jimin said giggling slightly. He knew that Hoseok wouldn't ever skip class unless he deemed it absolutely necessary.

"Well as your role model I'm telling you to never cut class, but as your friend, I'm asking you to ignore my previous statement just this once," Hoseok said as he texted his boyfriend, Yoongi, to let the elder know where he was going and a vague explanation as to why. Then he held Jimin's hand and lead him out of the back doors since he knew no one would be there to stop them.

Hours later Jimin was feeling much better. Hoseok had taken him out for ice cream and to a nearby arcade where they had spent hours playing different multiplayer games and challenging each other to a rematch after rematch. Yoongi joined them once school had ended. Together he and Hoseok managed to get Jimin to truly smile again. By evening Jimin was smiling and laughing and all that was left of his breakdown earlier in the day was a slight red tinge to his eyes.

When night fell, Yoongi bid them farewell and then headed home while Hoseok and Jimin walked home together since they lived in the same area only four houses away from each other. Hoseok walked Jimin home and then promised to see him in the morning so they could walk to school together like they usually do. Jimin smiles and thanked the elder for everything before going inside.

Once inside Jimin sighed walking upstairs to his room and climbing into his bed. Now that he was alone his thoughts drifted back to Taehyung and Jungkook. He recalled them coming into the cafeteria holding hands and then Taehyung announcing that Jungkook had finally manned up and asked him out. Jimin had smiled at them to hide the pain he was feeling. He'd congratulated them and then excused himself saying he'd forgotten something in the classroom. A few minutes after he'd entered the classroom Hoseok had come and asked him what was wrong and that had been it. He'd been forced to finally admit his feelings to both himself and to Hoseok. Jimin felt tears stinging his eyes again as he thought about the new couple. He curled up in his bed and cried himself to sleep.

* * * *

The next day was horrible for Jimin. He tried to keep his distance from the new couple, but that was proving to be difficult as he realized he literally spent almost all of his time with them if he wasn't around Hoseok. Still, Jimin tried to make up excuses to avoid being alone with them and as the week progressed he got better at it. As the week drew to an end Jimin was feeling very emotionally drained. While he had managed to keep his distance from them, he also realized just how much he missed their company.

Jimin heart constantly hurt but Jimin didn't do anything about it. He cut down the time he spent with them more and more until they hardly spoke to each other aside from when they were in their group of seven. And the moments where he was with them in their group of seven, he would constantly catch them flirting with each other which only served to cause a stabbing pain in his heart. As much as it hurt to see them together it hurt, even more, to realize that he really meant nothing to them. They didn't notice Jimin pulling away from them, they didn't question why they hardly talked with Jimin, being too wrapped up in each other.

However, the rest of the group noticed. Well, Hoseok and Yoongi already knew what was going on, and Namjoon had always picked up on things quickly. And Jin could always tell when one of his kids were feeling down. It was about three days into the couple's second week of dating when Namjoon and Jin confronted Jimin and asked him if something was wrong. Jimin had smiled and said he was just dealing with a personal problem and that they shouldn't worry. Jin being the mother of their group didn't believe him and worried until Jimin finally cracked and admitted his feelings for Jungkook and Taehyung. Once Jin knew he tried to comfort Jimin as well, and pretty soon all his hyungs helped Jimin stay distracted and away from the oblivious couple.

But it really wasn't enough. Even if the two youngest members of their group didn't notice the distance between them, Jimin did. Jimin felt the pain of the separation, he hardly spent any time with the couple and so he was feeling rather lonely. Not even hanging out with Hoseok was enough to fill the void in his heart. In an attempt to make up for the loneliness he was feeling he became friends with Jinyoung a student who transferred into their school a day after Jungkook and Taehyung announced they were dating. Jimin had been assigned to show him around and so it was natural for them to end up friends. Jinyoung was a great distraction and helped Jimin to take his mind off of Jungkook and Taehyung whenever Hoseok wasn't around to do so. Even though it was difficult, Jimin was learning to deal without Taehyung and Jungkook's company, he was learning to get over them.

* * * *

It had been almost three weeks since Taehyung and Jungkook became a couple and Jimin had started avoiding them completely. He spent most of his time with Jinyoung and Hoseok would also join them once in a while. One day when the three were together during study hall, Jinyoung was telling Jimin jokes to get him to laugh. Hoseok was listening in on their conversation and smiling to himself, happy to see that Jimin was laughing genuinely. After a little bit, Jinyoung excused himself because the teacher was calling him.

"Sooo...what do you think about Jinyoung?" Hoseok asked once Jinyoung had left.

"What do you mean?" Jimin asked as he turned his attention to his phone.

"Jimineee! You know what I mean." Hoseok insisted.

"No, I really don't," Jimin responded giving Hoseok a confused look causing the elder to sigh.

"I'm asking if you like him," Hoseok finally said.

"Yea. He's nice," Jimin said with a shrug.

"Nooo, I mean do you like him," Hoseok clarified.

"Oh... uh no," Jimin answered. He'd never thought of Jinyoung in that way.

"Why nooottt? He's so nice to you and always makes you smile and laugh. He helps you when you're stuck on a problem in class, he always hangs out with you, and he listens to everything you say. So why not consider him?" Hoseok asked seriously.

"Well... I don't know... I just can't see him that way?" Jimin said not being able to come up with any tangible reason. Hoseok sighed again and shook his head.

"You know if you tried to consider him or even someone else it might help you get over them faster," Hoseok said and Jimin knew he was referring to Jungkook and Taehyung.

"Hmm... it might... and it's not like I'm not considering anyone else... I just don't see anyone worth considering," Jimin explained and Hoseok nodded in acknowledgment.

"Alright... but I think you should consider Jinyoung. He'd be good for you," Hoseok stated.

"...I'll try," Jimin replied but knew he probably wouldn't ever see Jinyoung that way.

Time passed and then on Jungkook and Taehyung's one month anniversary they surprised everyone by getting them all tickets to the new amusement park that opened up near them. They claimed they wanted to spend the anniversary with their friends rather than with just each other. As such on Sunday they all met up at the gates of the amusement park and went in together. They stuck together at first and spent more than half the morning with each other, but then around noon, they ended up splitting up into smaller groups.

Namjoon and Jin went off to enjoy the Ferris wheel together, leaving the other five behind to sort into their own groups of two and three. Jimin knew he'd be the odd one out and was dreading it. Taehyung and Jungkook had insisted that Jimin should stay with them, but Hoseok dragged Jimin away with him and Yoongi claiming he'd have more fun with his best friend then the couple who were supposed to be enjoying their anniversary together. Jimin smiled appreciatively at Hoseok but felt bad more intruding on what could be a date for Hoseok and Yoongi. As such he pretended to go to the bathroom and ditched them. He sent Hoseok a text saying that he should enjoy himself and that Jimin would be fine on his own.

Jimin decided that he should just leave since he really didn't want to do go on any of the rides. As he walked towards the entrance he bumped into Jinyoung. Jinyoung apologized and then asked Jimin what he was doing at the amusement park by himself. Jimin explained what had happened and then Jinyoung had offered to stay with him since he'd come with his cousins who'd actually ditched him. As such Jimin ended up enjoying himself, that was until they bumped into Taehyung and Jungkook at the Ferris wheel.

Taehyung and Jungkook looked shocked to see Jimin with someone they hadn't ever met. Jimin introduced Jinyoung to them and they all talked pleasantly enough, but for some reason, Jimin felt tense. He got the feeling that Jungkook and Taehyung didn't like Jinyoung and so he asked Jinyoung if they could come back to the Ferris wheel later and go on some other ride for the time being. Jinyoung immediately agreed and so Jimin waved goodbye to the couple and joined Jinyoung on a different ride.

"Hey Jimin?" Jinyoung called out to him as they walked about.

"Hmm?" Jimin hummed in response.

"Do you like those two?" Jinyoung asked.

"What?" Jimin asked startled.

"Jungkook and Taehyung...while we were talking to them I noticed that you looked kind of sad when you saw them holding hands," Jinyoung said.

".... and what if I do? Would you think it's weird?" Jimin questioned neither confirming or denying the statement.

"No, not at all... I was just wondering," Jinyoung stated.

"Well... I do like them... but I'm learning to get over them," Jimin answered with a sigh.

"Oh...well good luck," Jinyoung said and Jimin nodded.

Near evening, Jinyoung had to leave with his cousins and so Jimin ended up by himself again but he no longer minded, he'd enjoyed his time with Jinyoung. He texted the group to see if they were planning to leave soon, if not he'd just go by himself. But it seemed the others were ready to go to and so they all planned to meet at the gates. Jimin ended up being the first one there and so he sat down on a bench under a tree as he waited for the other to arrive. While waiting he spotted Jungkook walking hand in hand with Taehyung. He was about to call out to them when Jungkook suddenly pulled Taehyung into his chest and it looked like they were kissing. Jimin's heart plummeted at the sight.

It felt like a thousand needles had stabbed into his heart and it was painful. Logically Jimin knew it was normal for couples to kiss and that Taehyung and Jungkook had probably already kissed before today, but it was the first time he'd seen it and apparently he couldn't handle it. Jimin rushed away from the scene and out the gate. He ran home and only texted Hoseok to let him know that he'd already left. He crawled into his bed and cried his heart out. Hoseok came by to see what had caused Jimin to leave all of a sudden, and when Jimin explained, Hoseok comforted him like always. But this time it wasn't enough for Jimin. He just felt so tired of it all. He hated himself for falling in love with two people and for not being able to stand the distance he, himself, had created between them.

* * * *

The next day Jimin decided to stay home, he didn't think he could face Taehyung and Jungkook today. He didn't think he'd be able to stand seeing Taehyung and Jungkook be all lovey-dovey with each other. He texted Hoseok saying he wouldn't be going to school today because he was sick. As soon as he'd sent the text and Hoseok had read it, Hoseok called him.

"Hello?" Jimin answered picking up the phone as soon as it started to ring.

"Are you really sick or do you just not want to see Taehyung and Jungkook?" Hoseok asked getting straight to the point.

"..." Jimin didn't respond and Hoseok sighed.

"Jiminie how long have you been in love with them?" Hoseok asked.

"... a while... I just didn't admit it to myself," Jimin answered honestly.

"... do you want me to stay with you today?" Hoseok offered.

"No hyung. I'll be fine on my own. Besides, it's Monday, so you have to go to dance practice after school. It would be weird for you to only show up for that."

"I could skip that too."

"Hyung we both know you hate sipping dance practice."

"You hate it too but it seems you're skipping it this week."

"It's a one-time thing," Jimin petitioned.

"... Jimin I know how you think. I've known you since you were born and I know you don't deal with your emotions well on your own, so leaving you to stew in them all day by yourself isn't something I can do easily," Hoseok said sounding particularly worried.

"Please hyung? I don't want to trouble you, I promise if I need you I'll call," Jimin pleaded.

"... Fine. But I'm stopping by right after dance practice no matter how late it is," Hoseok warned.

"Ok hyung," Jimin agreed.

After Hoseok hung up, Jimin walked downstairs to the kitchen to make himself breakfast since he didn't have to worry about school. Usually, he didn't have time for breakfast and would just grab an apple to eat it on his way to school. After making himself an omelet for breakfast he went to the living room to watch TV to pass the time and try distracting himself from his thoughts. However this didn't really work, Jimin ended up shutting down the TV and going back to his room to just lay in bed and let his thoughts run wild. As he thought about Taehyung and Jungkook his mind also drifted to other things he considered to be problems in his life.

His thoughts soon turned to his parents who were both out of the country at the moment. His mom was in Australia doing research on some rare insect found there, while his dad was in Japan conducting business. Ever since Jimin had entered high school a year ago it had been like this. His parents were always away for work, they would leave for months at a time. Before that, they'd never leave for more than a week and always hired a babysitter for Jimin. But when he entered high school they had claimed he was old enough to be on his own now and so they started accepting job offers for long-term projects which meant they went overseas for months at a time. They called him once a week to make sure he was okay and all but Jimin really missed having them around, especially when he was feeling like this. As he thought about these things he ended up falling asleep.

Hours later Jimin was awoken by the doorbell ringing. Jimin hoisted himself up and rubbed his eyes tiredly as he made his way downstairs. As he opened the door he said, "Hyung, you know where the spare keys are hidden why di-" He stopped himself finally realizing it wasn't Hoseok who was there but Jinyoung. Jinyoung smiled at him softly before awkwardly greeting him.

"Hey, Jimin... uh... I heard from Hoseok you were sick?... And so I asked him for your address... I just wanted to make sure you were ok," Jinyoung said his cheeks dusting a pale pink since he realized how sudden this all was.

"Oh... well thank you. I'm okay now... um, come inside?" Jimin asked unsure if Jinyoung wanted to stay.

"No! It's fine, uh I only came by to give you your homework and make sure you were doing alright," Jinyoung said pulling his backpack off his shoulder and pulling out some papers to hand to Jimin. Jimin looked at the paper and noticed that Jinyoung had also given him his notebook which was filled with notes.

"Don't we have a test in two days, won't you need this to study?" Jimin asked gesturing to the notebook.

"It's fine, I have other study material," Jinyoung insisted but Jimin frowned.

"No, I can't keep this. You need it to study... how about this I'll make a copy of your notes and then give you back your notebook. Just wait in the living room for me!" Jimin said pulling Jinyoung into his house and pointing to the living room before bounding off towards the study to make copies of the notes. While he was making copies the doorbell rang again.

"Jinyoung hyung can you answer the door for me?!" Jimin called out from the study.

"Sure!" Jinyoung called back and Jimin heard the door open as he finished copying the notes. He placed the copies on the table and then grabbed the notebook to give back to Jinyoung.

"Thanks for these hyung. Who's at the do-" Jimin started but stopped as he walked toward Jinyoung who was standing by the door and saw Jungkook and Taehyung waiting outside. Well, that answered his question... but what were they doing here?

"Uh hey Jiminie, heard you weren't feeling well so we came to visit," Taehyung said inspecting Jimin from head to toe. Jimin stood frozen surprised to see the two of them there. They'd never done this before, sure they'd worried whenever they heard Jimin was sick but they usually waited a day or two before stopping by to see him. This time it hadn't even been a full day.

"How are you feeling hyung?" Jungkook asked after a few seconds of silence. Jimin cleared his throat before smiling and answering.

"I'm fine, sorry to worry you," Jimin replied.

"Don't apologize. It's our duty to worry, you're our friend after all!" Taehyung quipped. Jimin's smile faltered for a second as he felt a stab of pain in his chest at Taehyung's words. Right... they were just friends.

"Right..." Jimin said unable to think of anything else to say as another uncomfortable silence washed over them.

"Well... I better get going. I'm glad to see you're okay Jimin," Jinyoung said taking his notebook back but before leaving he leaned in and whispered, "I know it's not my place to say, but I think they actually like you too, so maybe you should confess?"

Jimin blushed at the close contact and shook his head when Jinyoung pulled away causing Jinyoung to chuckle slightly.

"Oh well I said what I wanted, see you at school tomorrow Jiminie," Jinyoung stated before walking out the door. Jungkook stepped aside to let Jinyoung pass. Jimin watched Jinyoung walk away and then turned to face the other two, he was surprised to see their hardened expressions.

"So... uh do you want to come in?" Jimin asked after a moment, the two younger males nodded. Jimin opened the door wide for them to step inside. They both went inside and headed to the living room, Jimin closed the door behind them vaguely realizing it probably wasn't a good idea to invite them inside since he didn't want to be around them for long these days.

"Would you like something to drink?" Jimin asked as the two younger males settled themselves onto the couch. Jungkook shook his head and Taehyung said he was fine so Jimin just nodded and sat down in one of the couches across from them. Silence fell over the three of them and Jimin fidgeted in his seat, wishing one of the other two would break the silence, but that didn't seem to be happening anytime soon.

"So ho-" Jimin started, wanting to break the silence but he was immediately cut off.

"Why was he here," Jungkook demanded in a rather harsh tone causing Jimin to be startled.

"Uh... he just brought over my homework and let me make copies of his notes," Jimin answered.

"You could have just texted me to do that for you. He didn't need to do it," Taehyung said bitterly.

"I didn't ask him to do it for me...," Jimin defended feeling attacked.

"When did you guys even get so close?" Jungkook asked harshly.

"Yea? When? And what did he whisper to you when he was leaving?" Taehyung asked his tone demanding.

"Why do you want to know? It doesn't concern you," Jimin replied feeling angry at the tone they were using.

"We're just asking, it's just weird that he's close enough to visit you when you're sick and we didn't even meet him until yesterday," Taehyung said through clenched teeth sounding angry as well.

"Well, you don't need to know everyone I hang out with. Besides you've been too caught up in each other to notice anything. Now if you don't mind, I'm not feeling well so could you two leave." Jimin said standing up and heading towards the door to usher them out. He didn't want to deal with them while he was angry and he could tell they were angry too, but he wasn't sure why. It really didn't concern them who Jimin choose to hang out with.

As he walked by them to get to the door Jungkook suddenly grabbed his arm and pulled him down to sit between him and Taehyung. Jimin let out a surprised yelp as his body hit the couch and he found himself being caged in by the two younger males. Both of them looked at Jimin with darkened expressions causing Jimin to feel a bit intimidated.

"Wh-what are you guys doing?" Jimin asked slightly stuttering.

"Jiminie why are you avoiding us so much?" Taehyung asked moving closer to Jimin until he pressed his lips to Jimin's left cheek, leaving a chaste kiss and effectively making Jimin's heart rate increase and also causing him to be confused.

Jungkook also leaned in closer on Jimin's right and kissed his other cheek before moving to whisper in Jimin's ear, "Don't you know how much it hurts to see you pulling away from us?"

"Wha-" JImin started but was cut off by Taehyung.

"Do you hate us now?" Taehyung asked pulling away just enough to look at Jimin's face with a hurt expression.

"N-" Jimin tried to speak.

"We're sorry for whatever we've done to upset you. Please don't hate us," Jungkook pleaded also pulling back to look at Jimin.

"I-"

"Break up with Jinyoung hyung," Taehyung begged.

"We love you hyung. Please don't leave us." Jungkook added and suddenly everything was silent for a minute.

"Yo-you guys l-love me?" Jimin questioned in disbelief. How could that be? He'd been pulling away from them all month and they hadn't even seemed to notice, but now they were admitting they had? Why hadn't they questioned him about it then? If they loved him why hadn't they said anything before now? And why did they think he was dating Jinyoung?

"Yes hyung we do," Jungkook said looking at Jimin sincerely.

"I... I don't believe you... either of you... there's no way that's true...," Jimin replied after a few seconds and shook his head.

"It's true! I've always liked you Jiminie... but when Jungkook came along I ended up liking him too... and then you kept encouraging me to confess to him because you noticed I liked him, yet somehow you never noticed I liked you too...," Taehyung stated.

"I didn't like you when we first met, but as we became friends I ended up liking you hyung... and I realized I also liked Taehyung hyung at the same time... and it confused me... and then one day you suddenly asked me who I liked and I panicked and just said Taehyung's name and I couldn't bring myself to say yours as well... but I regret not saying it because you started pushing me to confess and that kind of hurt... it made me think you didn't see me the way I saw you" Jungkook said explaining his side.

"I felt the same way, you were pushing me to confess to Jungkook and so I thought that you probably didn't like me...Then you finally got us to confess to each other and we were happy with each other but...well I wanted you to be with us too...and after a week I noticed that Jungkook was the same...we were always talking to each other about you and then one day we finally admitted we both liked you to each other," Taehyung continued.

"It was then that we realized that since we both like you we should confess... but we were scared too. You've... never shown any interest towards us and even started hanging out with us less and less once we got together," Jungkook went on to say.

"So we became even more hesitant to say anything because we were afraid you'd pull away completely, that maybe you'd stop being our friend and we didn't want that to ever happen, but by our anniversary you had already stopped being alone with us completely and so we felt like we needed to do something to get you to spend time with us again," Taehyung picked up where Jungkook ended.

"That's why we invited everyone to the amusement park. We knew that we'd end up breaking up into smaller groups eventually and we thought we could get you to hang out with us then and that we could try and woo you and maybe even confess... but Hoseok hyung took you away before we could put our plan into action... and then somehow you ended up with some guy we'd never met and I-" Jungkook was cut off by Taehyung.

"We were jealous. He held your hand and you were smiling at him while he talked to you and you hadn't done that with us in a while, but you were doing it with him. You were so comfortable with him and not us, even though we've known you longer!" Taehyung said sounding very hurt.

"Don't date him Jiminie hyung! Please break up with him! We really really love you! Be with us instead please please please!" Jungkook begged.

"Please consider us Jiminie! We'd shower you with so much love you wouldn't even want to be with anyone else!" Taehyung promised.

Jimin was speechless and tried to gather his thoughts while the two had been speaking and pleading with him. He was surprised by their confessions and how strongly they were trying to persuade him to 'break up' with Jinyoung even though he wasn't dating him. Jimin got the feeling that they had gotten that idea from Hoseok...maybe Hoseok had fibbed about it to get the two to confess to him. Suddenly Jimin realized that it was quiet, neither Jungkook or Taehyung were speaking, instead they were looking at him with hopeful expressions.

"Jimin?" Taehyung called out softly and Jimin hummed in response still sort of lost in thought.

"W-will you con...consider us?" Jungkook asked hesitantly. Jimin stayed quiet for a few seconds formulating his words.

"You want the honest answer?" Jimin whispered and both of them nodded so Jimin continued. "Then no... I won't be-" Jimin was cut off by both of them talking over each other and Jimin wasn't even sure what they were saying.

"Shush! Let me finish!" Jimin yelled and they immediately became quiet.

"Thank you, as I was saying I won't because I already know what I want... I-I like you two a-as well," Jimin said, admitting his own feeling for them. Jungkook and Taehyung looked surprised.

"Y-you mean it?" Jungkook asked.

"You're not j-just saying that?" Taehyung asked and Jimin shook his head.

"I've liked you both for a long time now... I just never thought you guys would like me as well," Jimin said softly looking down.

Taehyung and Jungkook glance up at each other over Jimin's head before they suddenly engulfed Jimin in a hug, both feeling elated that Jimin had feelings for them. Now their little love triangle was complete.

"So you'll be our boyfriend?" Taehyung asked as he pecked Jimin's cheek and Jimin nodded feeling slightly giddy at the thought.

"You'll break up with Jinyoung hyung?" Jungkook asked as he nuzzled into Jimin's neck.

"I'm not dating him," Jimin replied with a chuckle as he watched them pull back from him slightly with shocked expressions.

"You're not?!" They both yelled and Jimin began laughing while shaking his head.

"No, we're just friends. Did Hoseok hyung tell you guys we were dating?" Jimin asked and they both blushed slightly while nodding.

"We... we were wondering who he was to you since he seemed so close to you at the amusement park...," Jungkook started.

"So we asked Hoseok hyung since we figured he'd know... and he told us you were dating him," Taehyung finished.

"Is that why you came today? To confirm whether it was true or not?" Jimin asked.

"Well... that and because Hoseok also said you were sick and that you had been for a while, so we were worried," Taehyung said.

"We really did come to make sure you were feeling better. We would have come even if Hoseok hadn't said anything about Jinyoung hyung...though that might have been what spurred us to confess," Jungkook said lowering his voice at the last part.

"Aw, that hyung!" Jimin giggled. "He's always doing something to try and stir people into confessing. I should really talk to him and get him to stop lying, though." Jimin mused.

"...Well, I'm actually glad he lied to us," Jungkook said placing a small kiss on Jimin's forehead.

"Me too... it got us to confess after all," Taehyung agreed, smiling warmly at the other two who smiled back.

"I guess that's true... maybe I should thank him instead," Jimin said as they all chuckled.

"Yea, we all should," Jungkook stated and Taehyung nodded his head in agreement. And they did thank him when he stopped by after dance practice. Hoseok smiled when he saw the three of them together again, congratulated them and wished them a happy future together.

"You shouldn't have lied to them hyung," Jimin said as he and Hoseok walked towards school together the next morning.

"But it got them to confess," Hoseok said in his defense.

"And for that, I'll be forever grateful to you... thank you," Jimin said with a smile.

"Anytime Jiminie," Hoseok replied also smiling. He pulled Jimin to a stop at the gate and hugged the younger.

"I'm really happy for you, I hated to see you so mopy this past month," Hoseok continued.

"I hated being mopy," Jimin said chuckling and hugging the elder back. They stayed like that for a few seconds before Jimin felt arms grabbing him and pulling him away from Hoseok and into their own embrace.

"He's ours!" Taehyung and Jungkook said to Hoseok in unison causing the elder to look at them wide-eyed before laughing.

"Chill, I don't want him like that. Besides I have Yoongi!" Hoseok chirped as he bounded off to where Yoongi was and back hugged the unsuspecting elder. Yoongi let out a small scream when Hoseok suddenly hugged him from behind and elbowed Hoseok in the rib. Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook laughed at their hyungs before joining them to walk to their classes.

By lunchtime, practically everyone knew that the three were together and most were happy for them. Their group of seven were especially happy to see the three together. It was a nostalgic and sweet sight to see their three precious maknaes together again and more in love than ever.
