“I clearly said, ‘I got it’ Everybody heard me say ‘I got it’ raph said annoyed, still only the sewers being shown until Leo speaks
“Yaaaa but, I got it with style” Leo is clearly unaffected by everything
“Oh boy” their Leo says with a hand on his face ‘Stupid’
Raph tried to cheer him up “Hey, you-he-whatever, didn’t know”
“Doesn’t change the fact that we lost the key” he replied
“But you didn't get it! You lost it, and now we’ve got a Foot Clan situation, Leo” Raph is getting more frustrated
“Definitely bigger than a Foot Clan situation” Donnie said not helping Leo’s guilt
Leo throws his swords down on a box, takes off his socks, and lays in bed to read a comic
“Put the dogs away” Mikey jokes with a chuckle. Leo smirks back and puts his foot on Mikey which Mikey just takes the leg and throws it off him. Everyone else chuckles or smiles.
Well everyone but Casey, he’s confused. ‘I don’t see any dogs’. Eh whatever, he’s just glad Master Leonardo and Michelangelo are happy.
Raph leans over Leo, creating a shadow
“What’s it gonna take for you to be serious, Leo?” Raph asks with his arms cross
‘Apparently a whole fucking apocolypse’ Leo thinks
Leo sits up “And end up with a worry line between my eyes like you? No no no, I do not want a Raph chasm.”
Raph tries to look at his forehead “Chasm?”
“Chasm?” He also tries to look up. Donnie puts his hand on Raph’s shoulder for support which doesn’t really help his case and makes him worry more.
Leo starts to circle around behind Raph
“You know, valley, gorge, crevasse” he whispers the last part in Raph’s ear
“Wow, he knows book words, that’s a shocker.” Donnie states
Leo smiles “I learned book words!”
Raph was proud of Leo but damn, did the words have to be against him?
“The only reason I have a Casm is because I have to worry about you bozos 24/7”
“Damn he really just called us bozos” Mikey said but with no poisoning behind it, just simply stated
“What do you mean bozos! It’s mostly just Leo, don’t bring us down” Donnie said not taking the criticism he was getting
“Lo sientos mis hermanos, but if I go down you all go down” Leo said, still doing his best to keep the mood light, he saw a fight coming and now that he and Raph solved things here he didn’t want to watch another one and waste more sorrow and guilt on it.
Raph continued “You just don’t get it Leo. I’m the oldest here. I’m responsible for keeping us safe and making sure we can handle anything that comes our way. Cause if I don’t, you would all end up dead”
They all winced again at the ‘dead’
“Then don’t do it alone, let me help you. You don’t need to take full responsibility, I’m the leader so that means we share taking care of each other and our brothers. What better duo than the oldest and the leader?” Leo says looking at Raph with a calming smile.
Raph smiles back “You’re right fearless leader, but you sure you can handle it though? It’s a tough job watching over you three”
“I’ll be fine, plus I have you as back up, I know you’ll always be right behind me, plus now instead of 1v3 it’s 2v2, better odds I would say” Leo replied, not knowing how right his words would be soon.
Raph nodded his head at April and Casey “More like 2v4, odds seem worse now”
“Eh, Aprils kinda like a switch player, depends on the day really” April nods agreeing with Leo
Splinter was really proud of how Leo was finally gonna start being the best leader he can be, this time without the world massacre.
“Sorry, I missed that. Can you repeat everything from…well, everything?” Leo said with a smirk still reading his comic
‘You know, I never pictured that this was how Master Leonadrdo was like back in the day’ Casey thinks
“All that matters is that our Leo here understands now the importance of all this” Raph said, making sure that screen Leo causes no negative thoughts in this room.
Leo wasn’t able to fool Donnie though, he saw right through the act. Screen Leo was obviously paying attention to everything Raph had said but because he didn’t want to accept reality he put up a wall, and acted as if he hadn’t heard any of it. And adding a sprinkle on top of that he acted out ‘make Raph angry’ plan so he wouldn’t be able to see Leo’s act.
Donnie gave Leo a tap with his foot and when Leo looked at him, he gave Leo the ‘I understand what just happened’ look and Leo quickly looked away not even wanting to discuss it through any type of way.
Donnie and Mikey are looking through Leos window trying to see what’s happening
“Nosey” Leo states looking at them but they both just turn their heads in the opposite directions trying to act like they haven’t already gotten caught.
They suddenly have to dodge a red fist that broke through the car door and Leo flips out of the opening struggling to stay standing
Raph winces “Sorry”
“Don’t, I totally deserved that, I’m being a jackass right now” Leo says
“Still, I shouldn’t have hit you. No matter how angry I get that doesn’t give me an excuse to lay a hand on you” 2012 Raph should take notes.
Leo shrugs “I’ll be fine anyway, i’ve taken worse hits” He turns back to the screen so Raph won't try to keep apologizing
Leo starts doing his classic ‘jump back and forth and spinning the arms’ motion
“No wonder you always want to train. You really need the practice”
Mikey steps in front of Leo with his back to him and arms out
Leo steps in “Hey, don’t listen to me, I’m just trying to rile you up and make you mad. You’re a good fighter as is. Of course you don’t “need” to but obviously if you still “want” to don’t let me stop you”
He doesn’t want Raph to start pushing himself more than he already does because of something that isn’t true. Raph smiles and nods showing he understands.
Raph starts coming out the car
“Let him go Mikey” he said firing up his Mystic weapons
Donnie jumps on him to try and stop Raph but it doesn’t work
“Wait-no” Donnie panics still on Raph when he starts to run at Leo
“I don’t know why I thought that would work” Donnie says
Mikey puts a hand on his hand from the floor “You tried, and that’s all that matters”
Raph just started feeling worse, he might hurt Donnie while he tries to stop him, will probably accidentally hurt Mikey to try and get him out of the way, all just go he can hurt Leo. He’s being a horrible older brother right now.
Splinter is now at the stop of the stairway with his hands on his hips
“Boys! Stop this arguing!”
All 4 of them come to a stop fight before Leo and Raph hit each other
“Oh thank god he stopped it, I did not want to see Raph get hurt” Leo says with hidden amusement in his eyes. Raph gives him an unimpressed look.
“But dad! Leo keeps-” Raph starts but doesn’t finish
“Ah buh-buh-buh-buh. No more.” Splinter puts his tail on Raph's mouth to silence him “You are a team. You are brothers.”
“Wise words Splints, finally stepping up to keep them in check” April says
“And most importantly, you are too loud! I cannot hear my TV show! Tristan finally proposed to Annabelle, but did she say yes? I don’t know because of you! Be the ninja I taught you to be, respectful and quiet!”
All 4 brothers just stand in the back during the whole speech, but when Splinter is done and walks away, Raph and Leo glare at each other.
“Nevermind, moment ruined. Should have know that’s why you got up” April says but now just deflated and a little disappointed
Splinter just shrinks back ‘Am I really that neglectful and too focused on my tv? How many times has something like this happened but I didn’t notice cause I was to self absorbed in my show’
Now that he has to watch himself and his actions, he’s starting to realize that he needs to pay better attention to his sons.
We are back to seeing NYC and see Casey running through the crowd
“Sorry. Excuse me.”
“Such manners” Leo said with a playful smile
“Well I had a Sensei who was strict on manners” Casey replied back, thinking of his Leonardo
We are being seen through Casey's mask
“Oh let me guess who made that amazing contraption, me” Donnie said looking at the tech hidden inside the mask
“You got it” future boy answered
“How am I supposed to find this thing?
“Casey’s right, with his knowledge the key could be anywhere” Leo said with his hands up “That’s just faulty plan making”
Donnie was unimpressed “Like you could do any better than than future you in his condition and situation at the time”
“I bet I could how hard can it be” Leo said smugly back
“Let's test that shall we?” All of a sudden Donnie had a knife and was trying to stab Leo (not really but kinda yes really. You know what I mean we all watched the same show, it’s like the scene where Donnie wanted to hit Raph)
“NO” everyone else had jumped on Donnie trying to stop him, while Leo just backed up as much as he could.
“WHERE DO YOU GUYS KEEP FINDING THESE THINGS” Raph screamed, this whole mysterious item thing was getting ridiculous.
“You never let me shine!” Donnie complained
April struggled before finally getting the knife from him. “Relax donnie, you’ll have your moment” (You know damn well i’m gonna add his deleted scene from the end fight in)
Casey runs into an alleyway and uses a grappling hook to get out and land on a rooftop
“Alright batman, calm down” Mikey jokes
“Whoa”
Casey sits down on the edge of the roof obviously upset, his mission was gonna be way harder than he thought
“So many people”
Leo’s heart broke at the sight, he had come to really like the kid and he didn’t like seeing him upset
“I always wanted to see the city full of life but now it’s like that dream just turned against me” Casey sadly spoke
Leo put his hand on Casey’s shoulder “Trust me, when we beat the Krang we are gonna give you the time of your life in the city. Full straight months of fun for you! We’ll make that dream a reality, a good reality”
Casey seemed a little doubtful “How can you be so sure we’re gonna beat the Krang?”
“Because now we have you at the beginning of the game, and that’s a big lead with the info you have” Leo seemed to be doing the job when he noticed Casey perk up a little
Casey pulls out the photo again
“How am I gonna save them all Sensei?” Casey is trying not to cry while looking we are now shown the photo
And Leo’s heart just broke even more now
Casey comes to a realization
“Wait, you are!I just need to find you”
“Ding ding ding! Now you got it!” Leo cheered
Raph smiled “Let’s get this show on the road now”
It zooms in on April
“April” Casey bring his mask back down “She’ll know”
April sat up “My turn now?”
“Yup” Mikey popped the P at the end
‘Eastlaird University’ We are being shown April’s school
‘Ohhhh mannnn why do we gotta start here” April groaned, when she isn’t at school, she doesn’t like any kind of mention about school
Donnie was the opposite though, he was very thrilled “Ah yes! Learning and education! Y'know April, you being able to go to school is such a privilege, i’ll forever be jealous”
April mutters to herself “Wow times have changed, normally I would have been the one saying that” She chuckles at her own joke
April walks up to her teacher
“Ah hem”
“Huh?”
“Hi professor. Do you have a sec?” she asks
“Hmmm, are you even in this clase?”
“Damn, he just called you out” Leo points out but April just lightly smacks his head
“Ewwww, what's all that in the back?” Mikey cried, looking at the math on the board
Donnie responds “That my dear brother, is the future!” Poor choice of words Donnie
“It really isn’t” and “I hate the future!” Casey and Mikey say at the same time
To hearing what Mikey said, Casey gives Mikey this bewildered look ‘He didn’t even say that when it showed the Krang’
“I’m April O’Neil, journalism major. I write for the EastLaird University Daily News. Maybe I could get some shots of you at the white board for a story?”
“Oh you’re definitely planning something” Leo says
He is suddenly surprised
“Oh! Of course!”
He farts getting up
All 4 brothers and Splinter start to laugh
April groans “Ugg boys.” She then turns to Casey “Never. And I mean never. Act like them.”
Casey just quickly nods his head “o-okay”
It shows his ID
“So, uh, what…what should I do?”
April seemed to be looking at something but quickly goes happy again
“You know, just write something sciency”
“This is science class!? I thought it was math!?” Mikey cries out in despair
“Well there’s math in science” Donnie tries to explain
“Whyyyyyyyy!” Thank god Mikey never went to school
April continues doing her thing when he looks away
“I actually have the perfect equation for your article” He goes to write on the board
April starts giving pointers
“Alright, now a few where you’re staring at your work”
“Oh, I always stare intently at my equations. Especially this one” he says creepily
“Weesh. The work getting more attention than the wife” Donnie replies to Leo
“You think he’s married?”
April starts to look at his ID that’s left on the chair. She smirks and goes to reach for it.
“What’s with the ID” Raph asks
April shrugs “Guess we’re about to find out”
“You know, I think I should put on my lab coat” the professor says about to turn around
Suddenly. Showing April with her whole body across the desk in a funny way
Everyone starts laughing at the sight. And April couldn’t even get mad at them, it was really funny, so she just laughs along with them.
“Oh man, that’s a knockout” Leo says but his voice still high pitched from laughing, wiping a tear out of his eye
April panics not wanting to be seen
“Look at it!”
‘Oh, Okay!”
When he turns around again, she’s able to swipe it and get out of the room without being seen
“Great job April!” Mikey said
She replied back “Thanks Mikey”
“You know, I could probably stare at this equation all day” he says still not noticing April left already
Leo snorts “We can see that”
April walks into a dark room and starts recording
“This is April O’Neil, investigative reporter, Eastlaird University Daily News. For years, this collage shot down rumos that a foreign government are secretly paying them millions to develop a super-toxic herbicidal deforestation bomb. Those rumors end today because I’m about to blow the lid off Big Chem.”
She uses the ID to get in the locked room
“Ummm Why would the government have a university make a bomb? And just keep it under a school where a bunch of people are!?” Leo questions very loudly waving his hands around
“I agree with Nardo, this doesn’t make any sense” Donnie replies
April grins “Who cares right now why. This is great stuff for my Daily News”
Raph signs “oh boy”
“Don’t die in there April! You have so much to live for!” pleads Mikey
She sneaks around the dark room. Horribly.
“April O’Neil” she whispers
“Don’t” April says looking at Leo
“I didn’t say anything”
“You didn’t have to, you’re predictable” Leo took offense to that
She finds chemicals in tubes and starts taking pictures
“What is that?” Casey asks (I’m gonna assume April used them all on the Krang before Donnie could make more of them in the future)
“That’s what we’re about to find out” Raph answered
“Ooh, this stuff looks nasty”
Suddenly security breaks through the door
“Hey! Who’s there!”
“Oh you’re in trouble” Donnie stated
April crosses her arms “You’re only in trouble if you get caught” To that Leo high-fived April
All we see from where April previously was is a tube spinning
“See? All good”
Donnie shrugs “I’m impressed”
April leaps down from the roof
“Evidence baby”
But in her celebration she drops her phone
April groans and puts her head in her hands
“Don’t worry about the phone part, I can make you another. But I can’t say the same for all the evidence” Donnie tries to help
“Oh boy……Well, it’s a good thing video ain’t the only thing I took”
It shows she took some of the tubes
“Oh?” April looks up with hope
Leo looks at April “Okay not to sound creepy or anything but I love the way you said that, you’re voice is just really pretty”
April smiles “Awe, thanks Leo”
“Nice! We can find out what it is now” Mikey cheers
From up on the roof Casey is shown watching her
“Not creepy at all” April mutters
Casey heard it tho “OH! I’m so sorry!”
April brushes it off “Don’t worry about it, I obviously trust you-well I do. But not screen me. Let’s hope this goes well”
Leo is happy tho “Hey! You found her, that’s great, the next step of the plan”
“The one you doubted before” Donnie mutters
“April, yes!”
Casey uses his grappling hook to jump down
“Commander O’Neil!”
“Catlike reflex!”
April knocks Casey out cold
Everyone sits in shock until April breaks the silence
“Omg Casey I’m so sorry!”
“Don’t worry about it! Really! It was my fault, I should have expected that and known not to sneak up on you!”
While April is apologizing to Casey, Leo can’t help but burst out laughing holding his stomach with tears in his eyes. He loved the kid but something about people getting hurt and not in any real danger is one of the things Leo loves to see.
“What’s the matter with you, creeping up on a person in the dark?”
Casey’s hook breaks and all the lining just starts shooting out everywhere
“Yup, my fault” Casey says
“What the-”
April notices the picture he has of all of them
“Oh no, that’s not gonna help your case” April winces
Casey is waking up
“And then I saw that picture and I brought him here” April says off screen
Casey looks to see the brothers, Splinter, and April in the room focusing on April
Leo smiles ‘It’s good he finally found us, he won’t be alone now. Even if this probably wasn’t the best way’
“Sensei?” Casey asks still waking up
When Leo sees he’s up he falls back and raises his sword, this alerts everyone else
Casey smiles seeing everyone
“It’s you! It’s all of you! Together! I never thought I’d see you again! I’m so happy I could hug you”
He goes to get up but because he’s tied to a chair he just falls
‘I’m gonna get that boy into therapy when this is all over’ April thought while slightly shaking her head
“Why is he tied to a chair! That’s so unfair and rude” Mikey said
Raph put his hand on Mikey’s shoulder “Cause they don’t know him like we do, he’s still a stranger. Don’t worry, I’m sure he’ll be out soon enough when he explains it like he did us” Mikey accepted that but he still wasn’t happy about seeing Casey like that
Leo saw Casey had this weird look on his face “Hey, they don’t know you like we do, just give them a minute. Once they do they’ll love you”
“I know, it’s just sometimes I could have these dreams about getting to know the younger selves of the people who raised me and this wasn’t exactly how I pictured it”
“Oh really? Your dream wasn’t getting knocked out and tied up by us?” Leo tried to bring a smile to Casey’s face, which works
Casey jokes back “I know right? What was I thinking?” That was the last thing said before they turn back to the screen, well..after Leo quickly patted Casey’s head which Casey secretly loved and yearned for more
Raph steps in front of Casey menacingly and picks Casey back up but still holding the chair, the projector starts adding a light behind Raph
“Who are you, and why do you have a picture of us?” -Raph
“Fair questions i’d say, also sorry for interrogating you Casey” Raph apologies, Casey just shrugs showing he’s fine with it and doesn’t really care, I mean he should have expected this right?
“Yeah, who took this! Cause I look great” - Leo + sparkles
Everyone facepalms and Leo shrinks down a little, so maybe this wasn’t the best time for gloating
“What’s your favorite pizza? Cause I’m ordering a right now” - Mikey
“You’re too kind Angelo, paying for someone else's pizza” Donnie states
“It’s the kind thing to do” Mikey smiles ‘And it’s dad’s money so it doesn’t really affect me’ but no one had to know that last part
“And why are you wearing genius-built apparel? That’s trademarked!” - Donnie
He then hits something on Caseys arm that shoots out the grappling hook and hits Donnie right in the head
“HA” Leo points and laughs obnoxiously loud
The hooks goes flying all over the room with everyone dodging in a funny way
“Ahwhat’sgoingon?” you can hear Leo say in all the recus (This is one of my favorite Leo lines)
“Noted. Don’t touch random tech on Casey” Donnie says to both himself and everyone in the room
The hook finally latches on to the ceiling brining Casey up
Mikey tries to catch him “He’s trying to escape!” Mikey jumps and brings Casey down but the chair comes back and hits him down
April comes next with her bat
“Want me to knock him out again?”
Then Raph shows up ready to punch
“Let me”
Donnie is still laying on the ground hurt and when Mikey recovers he goes to him trying to wake him up
“Donnie? Donnie!”
Splinter is shown eating popcorn and when Leo goes to grab some Splinter hits his hand away with his tail
The room stared in silence and shock and what just happened, until Casey broke the silence and started laughing so hard he couldn’t sit up and was laying on the ground
Everyone looked at him until Leo joins in, soon everyone in the room was either chuckling or laughing really hard
“Oh man” Leo starts “That was so dumb but really funny. Did you guys see how Mikey got hit with the chair”
“Or when Raph and April almost hit Casey like he was a pinata” Donnie joins
“I liked when Leonardo tried to go for the popcorn but fail” Casey adds only for Leo to slightly push him and add a “You would like that” but still with the smile never leaving his face
“Wa..wait, stop! I’m a friend. Let me explain!”
The rest stop with Leo and splinter fighting for the popcorn, Mikey putting a blind fold on April, Raph still ready to punch and Donnie finally up but just annoyed now
Leo points to the screen “Why are you actually putting a blind fold on! You know he’s not actually a pinata right!”
Donnie covers his smile and watches the screen in amusement
April deflates “I know that, it’s probably to…practice my skills, ya that’s it” she adds a weak smile at the end, Leo just squints his eyes and shakes his head
“Let’s start over” Casey is unamused “My name is Casey Jones, and the reason I have this photo and your tech is because you gave it to me, but not yet, because I’m from the future!”
At the mention of the future and the whole reason Casey was there right now made the air in the room thick, they knew things were gonna get very real very soon
Everyone laughs at him
“Oh we kinda look like jerks now” Mikey said sadly “Sorry Casey, that wasn’t fair for you” everyone nodded to that
Casey quickly answered “No, you’re all good. I mean I was a little hurt by it but what did I expect, it sounded unreal and I didn’t even know I could time travel till this movie”
“Still you didn’t deserve it” Leo put his hand on Casey’s shoulder
“This isn’t a joke”
Donnie steps in “Oh please, if time travel is possible future Donnie would have come back and already given me all the lottery numbers like we planned”
‘Not this time, I was naive to think nothing would go wrong in the future’ Donnie couldn’t help but think
“It’s true. I need you to believe me. Humanity depends on it. In the future, an alien race decimated the planet. We were hunted, we lived in caves. We ate leaves and rats. No offense”
Splinter is unfazed at that “None taken, we are delicious.”
“I know how this sounds, but Master Leonardo gave me a mission”
Leo smirks
“I do like how he calls me ‘master’”
Raph signs
Donnie raises an eyebrow at Leo which Leo responds by mouthing ‘Shut up’ at him
‘I know what you are’ Donnie thought
“Of course I do. You are the greatest ninja the world has ever seen. You told me to find the key and stop the Krang”
‘I don’t deserve that title, not when it was my fault the whole thing happened’ Leo also pointed out loud “Honestly you probably shouldn’t have said that, it’s gonna go to his fucking head and make him more egotistical” ‘Even if it’s all an act’
Raph doesn’t like Leo saying that about himself “Hey, it’s fine. It’ll work out in the end, trust me” Leo signs and goes back to the screen
April still doesn’t believe him
“‘Aliens’ Pffft. Sure. This story just keeps getting better” Then she notices Splinter turns off the projector “Splints?”
“The Krang? I have heard that name. They are powerful, barbaric creators, worshiped by the foot clan, legend says they came from the stars, ruthless, unmerciful with only one desire, to elsalve our world like so many before us. All seemed lost, until great mystic warriors forged a mighty weapon, a key that was used to lock them in a prison dimension beyond this realm. Over the centuries, the mystic key has remained hidden to protect humankind and prevent the return of the Krang.”
“De sa vu anyone?” Mikey asks quietly
Leo loudly groans and puts his head in his hands, he knows he caused the apocalypse already but to hear it put like this just made it so much worse. Why is he such a failure, why can’t he do anything right, why did he have to cause the end of mankind?
“I don’t care how many times I have to say this, I’ll say it a thousand times if that’s what it takes to get it in your mind. We will fix this and stop them. I know it might seem impossible but with Casey here to tell us this now that definitely puts us at a head start. We’ll be there for eachother like we always have, the Mad Dogs got this” Raph really wanted Leo to see this wasn’t his fault, it’s the foot clans. Why does no one ever blame the actually villains in these situations”
“Whatever, let's just see what happens” Leo mutters
“So?” Leo starts
“Future boy is really from the future?” April finishes
“Mind blown” Mikey uses his hands to make an explosion
Casey continues “Someone finds the key! Today! They steal it and use it to open a doorway and free the Krang! That’s why I came back, to find it first. Master Leonardo drew a picture on the back of that photo. So to stop the Krang, all we have to do is find the key before it’s stolen.”
Raph turns the picture to reveal the key
“Hm”
“Hm-mm”
“Huh”
Raph, Donnie, and Mikey turn to look at Leo who seems to be in shock(?)
‘Dumbass’ Leo thinks
Raph looks at the screen sadly ‘Great, just what Leo needs right now, our on screen selves blaming him’
Leo starts to sweat and tries to look away while Raph moves his face closer to Leo. Casey looks confused in the background
“What?”
Leo taps his pointer fingers together while now everyone is looking at him sternly
Everyone but Leo weren’t liking how their other selves were looking at Leo on screen, I mean realistically they know in their situation it’s fair for them to act like that, but they still don’t like it. Especially when everythings been/is trying to be dealt with on their side
Leo gains the courage to move closer to Casey and put on this confidence stance
“Yeah, did future handsome, amazing me tell you what to do in case that already happened? Cause that already happened?”
‘It’s concerning how quickly he got into that confidence stance right then, even if it didn’t last long’ April noticed
Splinter throws a piece of popcorn at Leo
Casey looks panicked “Oh no, we’re too late!” he signs
The brothers look down in disappointment until Raph speaks up
“No we’re not. Cause we know who has the key. The foot clan. Okay team, we gotta find them before they use it, and this time we do it together!”
He says that last part directed to Leo
“I’m glad Raph said that but I’m gonna be honest, I don’t know if screen me will listen to that”
“But now our screen selves are in on everything and have a plan. That’s the next best step we can do right now” Raph points out
As Raph and Donnie walk away Leo mimics what Raph just said
Leo signs and mutters a “fuck me man” which no one heard
Casey is still tied to the chair as everyone walks away
“Uh, can someone untie me now?”
He tries to get out on his own but falls
“Oh no…”
They wince when he hits the floor
“Sorry about that Casey” April says
