Chapter Text
“All for One!”
…
"I'm not afraid to die if it means saving people. I won't let anyone else suffer like I did!"
…
“You're no ‘Demon Lord’! All you are... is a lonely man!!”

Izuku panted as he ran, nearing the end of his fifteen kilometre run. It had been a tiring week, with teachers piling on homework and the Hawks Agency pulling him out of class every other day.
But considering that he had spent most of his first and second year dealing with All for One, Izuku’s last year at UA was looking like it would be a really good year.
He had so many people who loved him. Friends, family, a boyfriend. His hands no longer ached thanks to Eri’s hard work. He interacted with a variety of Pro Heroes on a daily basis.
And he wasn’t even fighting for his life. Really, what more could a guy ask for?
“A cheeseburger.” Banjo cuts in. “I have a sudden craving for a cheeseburger”
“We’re dead.” Nana reminded him. “We can’t eat”
Izuku sighed.
“If I focus really hard when Ninth eats I can taste it.” Banjo informed her. “Huh. Well if we get something to eat, can we get strawberry yoghurt?” Nana asked.
Izuku slowed his pace as the vestiges argued over what to eat.
“Cheeseburgers are the best!” “No, strawberry yoghurt is!” “I wouldn’t mind seafood…” En mused. “Ew.” said Banjo. “I haven’t had an apple in so long.” Hikage said wistfully. “Everyone hush!” Yoichi declared. All the vestiges fell silent.
For a moment, Izuku thought that was the end of the conversation.
“Baked potatoes are the obvious choice. They remind me of my brother in his Mr Potato Head era.”
Izuku’s peace and quiet shattered as the vestiges started arguing again.
As Izuku tried to calm down the vestiges, he wasn’t paying attention to where he was going and tripped over a little girl. His face planted on the pavement, a sudden flash of light washing over him.
“I’m so sorry!” Izuku exclaimed, leaping to his feet to check if the girl was all right. “I’m such a fool! I should have been paying attention to where I was going, and I wasn’t, and I tripped over you- are you okay? Are you sure you're not hurt?”
The girl giggled, her short purple hair falling over her blue eyes. “It’s alright Mister! I have to go now.” The girl skipped off, heading home.
Izuku sighed, rubbing his head, before continuing his path back to U.A.
“This is why we can’t argue in public, it reduces my spatial awareness.”
For once, the vestiges were silent.
Izuku couldn’t blame them. After all the vestiges were all good people, and they’d nearly bowled over a little girl after all.
He picked up his pace and continued his run.

Back in the dorms, Izuku was surprised to not see Kacchan in the kitchen. His boyfriend was an early riser, and often made him breakfast, especially after a run.
Oh well. Kacchan did have a long day of patrol yesterday. Perhaps he was sleeping in, ensuring he got his full eight hours of beauty rest.
Izuku started getting the required breakfast ingredients out of the fridge.
After a shower and breakfast, Izuku headed up to Kacchan’s dorm, a plate of spicy scrambled eggs in his hand. He knocked on the door, waited, and proceeded to let himself in.
Kacchan was lying on the bed in the most un-Kacchanly manner, arms by his side, sheets tucked in tightly, almost like a corpse.
As soon as Izuku set foot in the room, Kacchan, who appeared to be fast asleep, leaped up from his bed landing on the floor in some sort of fighting stance.
“Intruder!” Kacchan said, a half wild look in his eyes. “Who are you- oh. Izuku?”
Izuku, having retreated to the hallway, smiled. “That's me! I made you breakfast just the way you like it!”
Kacchan didn’t move. “Bad dream?” Izuku asked, putting the plate of eggs on the bedside table.
“A dream?” Kacchan repeated. “Yes… that must be it.”
Kacchan climbed back into bed and pulled the cover over his head, and Izuku took that as his cue to leave.
It must have been a really long patrol if Kacchan was this out of it. He needed the extra sleep.

For the first time in UA history, Aizawa was late to class. In fact, Izuku didn’t see Kacchan or Ururaka anywhere either.
“What do you think happened to Aizawa-sensei Shouto?” Izuku asked.
“Aizawa-sensei is never late.” Shouto mused. “He’s not acting like himself, there’s no current missions… he must be possessed.”
“C’mon Todoroki, that’s crazy.” Denki said, leaning back on his chair. “He’s probably being held up.”
“Aizawa-sensei would never be late without a good reason!” lida exclaimed. “We must have faith in our teacher!”
The classroom door quietly swung open, and every head in the class snapped to the front.
“Wow.” Aizawa-sensei said. “You have really good situational awareness.”
“Oh my god, he gave us a complement!” Mina squealed. “Dadzawa! Dadzawa!” Aizawa-sensei seemed to shrink into his scarf as the whole class joined in with the chant.
“Ahem.” Aizawa-sensei cleared his throat. “Today, a few of you will be patrolling. Mina, you’re wanted in Kyoto, Iida, Hosu… Ni- Midoriya, you’re going to be on call for any major issues that arise. Patrol a central area in the meantime, and try not to get too involved.”
“Ooo this sounds like fun! We should make it a competition!” Mina exclaimed excitedly.
“Noo… Mina, when will you ever learn?” Jirou groaned. Everyone looked at Aizawa-sensei, waiting for the twist.
“Uh… have fun?” He said.
The class looked at Aizawa-sensei in confusion as the bell rang. He left without another word, and class 1-A began packing up.
“…Izuku? Are you alright?” Someone asked
Izuku was frozen at his desk, incredulous that the vestiges hadn’t said anything about his teacher’s ass all class.

Izuku decided to head to Tokyo, because after the final blow he’d delivered to All for One, most of Tokyo had to be rebuilt, making it a hotbed of crime.
He carefully scanned the streets for crime as he used Blackwhip to swing between the buildings. After an hour, he managed to stop three robberies, capture four low-level villains, and prevent the occasional attempted murder. An average patrol, really.
He was perched on top of a skyscraper, taking a breather, when he felt Danger Sense ping. He whipped around, and instantly spotted a Nomu a few streets over. He panicked- all of the Nomu had been wiped out along with All for One. To see one now was bad news.
He flew over at max speed, arriving in less than a second, and promptly smashed the Nomu in the face with a 50% punch. The Nomu stumbled, but quickly regained its footing.
“FEAR NOT CIVILIANS” The Nomu boomed. “FOR I AM HERE!”
Izuku blinked. Was it… imitating All Might.
The Nomu took advantage of his distraction to punch him in the face.
“SURRENDER EVIL VILLAIN. FOR I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO HARM CIVILIANS.”
Izuku giggled. Here he was, fighting a Nomu, something that most of Japan associated with the incarnation of evil, and it was calling him a villain?
“THERE IS NOTHING FUNNY ABOUT INJUSTICE VILLAIN!”
“Sorry.” Izuku said, bemused at the situation. “But are you… All Might?”
“SURELY YOU’VE HEARD OF THE NUMBER ONE HERO?!” The Nomu asked him. By this point, most of the bystanders were filming this confrontation between the predicted number one hero, and the All Might Nomu.
“I, ah… have. But you’re mistaken about me, I’m not a villain.”
“OH?” The All Might Nomu inquired. Izuku swore he could hear the disbelief in its voice. “
YOU CLAIM YOU’RE NOT A VILLAIN AND YET YOU ATTEMPTED TO HARM ME WITH YOUR QUIRK?”
Izuku felt a bit guilty at the reminder. “That- That was an accident. I’m actually a hero. I thought you were a villain.”
“YOU EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE THAT YOU FAILED TO RECOGNISE ME OR MY HEROIC ACTIONS?”
“Well… the thing is, you don’t exactly look like All Might.” The All Might Nomu looked confused at that. “You haven’t seen yourself have you?” Izuku realised. “Here.”
He took out his phone, swiped to the camera, and handed it to the Nomu who seemed to truly believe he was All Might.
“GOODNESS!” The All Might Nomu exclaimed. “WHAT ON EARTH HAPPENED TO ME?”
“I was hoping you would know.” Izuku sighed. “I’ll take you to Tsukauchi. Just let me make a call first.”
He started towards Tsukauchi’s police station at a fast pace, the All Might Nomu following him. He took his phone out and made a call.
“Hey, um Toshinori? Can you meet me at Tsukauchi’s station? I have a situation.”
######
Half an hour later, Izuku, Tsukauchi, and the All Might Nomu were sitting in an interrogation room waiting for Yagi to arrive.
“So, um, All Might is it?” Tsukauchi asked the Nomu. “Do you know who I am?”
“OF COURSE I DO!” The All Might “YOU’RE MY TRUSTED FRIEND DETECTIVE TSUKAUCHI!”
“Interesting.” Tsukauchi said. “That was a truth.”
“WHY WOULD I LIE ABOUT MY TRUST IN YOU?” The All Might Nomu asked. Just as Tsukauchi was about to answer, the door opened and Yagi Toshinori walked in.
“Young Midoriya?” Toshinori asked. “What did you need me- oh.” Toshinori stopped short at the sight of the Nomu.
“Fuck. Where did you find it?”
“EXCUSE YOU?” The All Might Nomu looked affronted. “I AM NOT AN ‘IT, FOR I AM ALL MIGHT.”
“Uh….what?” Toshinori appeared to have a processing error.
“Yep.” Said Izuku. “I found a Nomu who thinks he’s All Might.” “And,” the detective added. “He seemed to know me.”
They all looked at the All Might Nomu. “..BECAUSE I AM ALL MIGHT?” The Nomu said.
“Really?” Asked the Detective. “What’s the last thing you remember?”
The All Might Nomu thought about it for a second. “I HAD LOCATED ALL FOR ONE AND WAS ABOUT TO STORM HIS HIDEOUT.”
“Truth.” said the detective. “Wasn’t that five years Toshinori?”
“Indeed Tsukauchi. Just after my fight with Toxic Chainsaw.” Toshinori replied.
“TOSHINORI?” The All Might Nomu asked. “WHAT A COINCIDENCE. YOU SEE MY NAME HAPPENS TO BE-”
“Yagi Toshinori, I know.” Toshinori cut in. “Which is also my name, because apparently, we’re both All Might.” He sighed.
“WH-WHAT? IMPOSSIBLE!” The All Might Nomu stammered.
“Quiz time!” Izuku cut in cheerfully. “Who scares you the most?”
Both All Mights shuddered. “GRAND-” “-Torino.”
“Correct! What is the craziest thing a fan has ever gifted you?”
“A GALAXY NAMED AFTER ME-” “-All Might.” The All Mights said.
“Correct! What was your quirk before One for All?”
“I didn’t have one-” “FOR I WAS QUIRKLESS!”
“See?” Deku said. “Does that prove to you that you’re both All Might?”
Toshinori sighed. “I see your point Young Midoriya, however it fails to explain how he failed to recognise you.”
“I have a theory about that.” Tsukauchi jumped in. “I think that Nomu All Might has your memories right up until the fight with All for One. If we could ask people who were there if they saw anything…”
“Hey guys?” Izuku asked the vestiges. “Do you know something?”
No response.
“Guys please answer, this is really important.”
“-do you know who you last Nomu All-” the detective was saying.
“Tsukauchi?” Izuku interrupted. “Do you have any drugs?”
The room went quiet as the three adults turned to stare at him. “Young Midoriya, I don’t think-” “Why would I have-” “THAT IS NOT APPROPRIATE-”
“I didn’t mean it like that!” Izuku protested over the top of them. “The vestiges aren’t responding and unless Shinsu’s nearby, then I need something to knock me out so I can go check on them!”
They blinked at him in unison. “Oh. Well in that case, I do have something that should knock you out for ten to fifteen minutes, no side effects.”
Detective Tsukauchi led him and Toshinori to his office, where he pulled out a bottle of pills and handed one to Izuku.
“Maybe I should come to you for drugs Tsukauchi.” Toshinori muttered. “Hey!” Tsukauchi protested. “I need them for naps!” Izuku ignored them, sitting down in the office chair before tilting his head back and swallowing the pill whole.
“Wait, don’t you want water-”
Izuku was out like a light.
