operation RINGO'S birthday party
John Lennon: alright everyone
John Lennon: we need to plan ringo's party
John Lennon: and hopefully not fuck it up this time
George Harrison: by "not fuck it up", you mean you shouldn't be allowed to bake the cake, right?
John Lennon: if that's what it takes to NOT fuck it up, then so be it.
Paul McCartney: i'll bake the cake then
John Lennon: sure
John Lennon: anyways, mo, I a very special job for you
Maureen Cox: oh god.
John Lennon: don't fret, it's not weird I promise
Maureen Cox: that doesn't make me feel better
John Lennon: look, I just need you to distract ringo
Maureen Cox: oh, okay, I can do that
Maureen Cox: message me when the party's set up
John Lennon: will do
George Harrison: godspeed, mo
Maureen Cox has gone offline!
John Lennon: alright, let's make ringo a kickass party!
Paul McCartney: and hopefully we don't burn down the house again!
[three hours later...]
(all irl from this point)
"Mo, where are we going?" Ringo was blindfolded.
Maureen held back a chuckle. "If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise!"
Then they reached the door.
"Okay, Ringo, on the count of three, you can remove the blindfold."
"1.."
"2.."
"3!"
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!"
Ringo took off his blindfold to see everyone- Eppy, their wives, even Martha, Paul's beloved dog- standing around the room.
"Aw, guys, you shouldn't have!"
"Honestly, i'm just surprised you guys didn't burn down the house." Maureen remarked, looking impressed.
Paul rolled his eyes. "I'm not John, I know how to cook."
John looked offended. "Hey! I can make some food!"
"Sure, John, sure..."
George and Maureen led Ringo up to the cake.
Pattie led everyone in singing Happy Birthday.
After the admittedly offbeat singing ended, and Ringo blew out the candles.
He wished this moment could last forever.
