He felt something nibble on his finger as Shunsui slowly regained feelings in his body and the consciousness creeped back into his mind. He tried to swallow but his throat and mouth felt like sandpaper making it hard to breathe. Adding to the dry throat his head felt like he got shot down by a cannonball.
The nibble turned into a bite, making him jerk his hand back and yelp out in pain. The source of his discomfort was a seagull that jumped back a few spaces, eyeing him warely.
