Chapter Text

     Hamato Sofonisba had been told her entire life that her father had been an incredible man, and that he'd even stopped the alien invasion that’s casualties were mourned every year. She'd only ever seen him in the photos her Uncle's, Aunt's, Grandma, and Grandpa's kept around.

     Considering that (according to her family) he'd ‘died’ before she'd hatched, she'd never seen him in person, but she wasn't an idiot. She'd pushed Uncle Raphie into telling her what had actually happened, and then had handed her the suicide note.

     She had been surprised to see that a part was directed at her, it had said:

And to my dear child Filippo or Sofonisba, I highly doubt my brothers will tell you who your biological father is, and honestly I don't blame them. But he was one of the Krang, the leader in fact. I'm so sorry I don't get to meet you but Anatawa Hitorijanai; you are not alone.

     Finding all of that out had been… hard, …to say the least. And then she'd been pissed. Not at her dad(s?), but at her Uncle's and Aunt's for keeping this from her.

     So today she was planning on confronting them, and right now she was sitting in the sewer tunnel that served as her dad's Ofrenda.

     One of the tunnel walls was covered in a giant mural of her dad, starting from before he was mutated, and ending at the age he'd been the day he took his own life. In front of the mural was piles of flowers and things; marigolds and pizza boxes from Señor Hueso, his stuffed unicorn, a book of magic tricks and lit trick candles from Hypno, his outfit from the Battle Nexus from Big Mama, and so much stuff from his siblings and dads.

     She was here to avoid the noise in the lair so she could plan, and also to get strength from her dad’s spirit (yes, she knew it was stupid, but she was a goddamn mutant). She was attempting to meditate, focusing on the sound of the rushing sewer water, and the flickering candles behind her eyelids.

     When she opened her eyes again, everything was dark, and sitting across from her was a woman with long hair who was wearing a traditional kunoichi outfit. The woman smiled at Sofi, and then she spoke.

~~~
    Hamato Karai looked at her many times great granddaughter, she looked quite a bit like Leonardo, except that from her hands to her elbow was pink fading into the green of her skin.
     “Hello dear, my name is Hamato Karai, the founder of the Hamato clan. What is your name?” She asked, doing her best to not freak her great granddaughter out.
     “M-my name is Hamato S-Sofonisba, I go by Sofia. I'm the daughter of Hamato Leonardo… and… and the leader of the… Krang.” Karai felt her eyes widen. The… Krang. Why did that sound so familiar?
     “Dear Sofi, if you know what they look like, could you describe them for me?” She saw Sofi’s face scrunch up as she thought.
     “Y-yeah, umm. The best way to describe them from the videos I've seen, is that they look like chewed up cubes of bubblegum with tentacles and a face. W-why do you want to know ma'am?”
     “You may call me Gram-Gram dear, and the reason I wished to know was because my father, Oroku Saki, was given Dark Armor by Oni who fit’s the description you’ve given me.” She saw Sofi’s face fall.
     “Ohh, I… apologize for that.” She took in a deep breath, then continued. “But, I was… was hoping to get some advice on how to confront my Uncle's and Aunt's about keeping the identity of my other father from me. D-do you have any ideas, Gram-Gram?”
     Karai thought about this for a moment before answering. “No, but I know someone who might.” She reached out through her Ninpo to find the man she was thinking of, till she latched onto his Ninpo, and then pulled.
~~~

     Leo’s spirit was happily curled up in Prime's tentacles, churring at being this close to his Mate. Then all of a sudden, his Ninpo was tugged, pulling him into another dark area. He was sitting next to Gram-Gram, across from a turtle mutant/Yokai.

     “Leonardo,” Gram-Gram said. “this young lady is your daughter, and she needs some… Fatherly advice.” And then she disappeared.

     He immediately scrambled over to his Hatchling-Sofonisba(?), and picked her up into as tight of a hug as he could. To which she hugged back just as hard, crying along with him.

     “D-dad! I-I… I didn't th-think I’d ever g-get to meet y-you!” Still holding his fucking daughter, he sat down with her in his lap, and started rubbing her shell.

     “Hi my dear daughter, what do you want to know?” She buried her face into his neck before answering.

     “I-I recently… re-recently found out… who my… my other dad was. So-so I was g-going to con-confront my re-remaining family about the ke-keeping this from me.” His poor daughter, and also how dare his family.

     “Ohhh, my dear daughter. The only thing I can think of to help you confront them is to ask them to remember how they felt when we found out that Draxum and Lou Jitsu were our dad's.” He held her closer, scratching at her shell as she kept crying.

     “B-but th… they’d be-be mad! O-or worse… upset!!” Yep! This was definitely his daughter. Were Inferiority Complexes hereditary?

     “They might be upset… but! If they love you, which I'm a thousand percent sure they do, they'll understand.” He kissed the top of her head, then stood up, and set her down on her feet.

     “It's time for you to go dear, but remember, if you ever need to talk to me, I'm right here.” Then, he pushed her Ninpo back into the real world, and then started making his way back to his Mate.

~~~
     Sofi opened her eyes, still sitting across from her father's Ofrenda, but known with tears falling down her cheeks. S-she couldn't believe that she'd just met her father! Now she just had to use his advice.
~~~

     Hamato Donatello was sitting on one of the couches in the lair when Sofi came storming in.

     “Where's everyone else?” She asked, and even though Donnie was emotion blind, he could tell that his Niece was upset and angry.

     “I don't know, but I can call them if you need me too.” She just nodded, which was very unlike her. They could see their twin in most aspects of Sofi, especially since she was also hard to quiet down, so this was… unsettling.

     “Do… do you want to sit with me while I… call them?” She nodded, then sat down next to him.

     After making sure she was comfortable, he called all of his family (even Cassandra and CJ, even though in his humble opinion they didn't count). And then waited for his brothers, sister, fathers, and the Joneses to make their way to the lair.

~~~
     When Hamato Raphael walked into the lair’s living room to see the rest of his family sitting on the couch, chairs, beanbags, and even the floor in some cases. The only one not sitting was Sofi. Well… shit!
~~~

     When her family were all sitting in front of her, Sofi took a deep breath, then started talking.

     “I have something to say, and I want you all to promise not to interrupt me. Okay?” She waited till she got multiple gestures of agreement, took another breath, and continued.

      “Uncle Raphie recently let me read my dad's suicide note, and part of it told me who my other dad was. Is? Anyway, I do understand why you all kept this from me, but you should have told me! But I have a right to know that both my dads are dead, not thinking that one of them abandoned me!” She felt tears start to drip down her cheeks, but she kept talking.

     “A-and I'm sure you're con… confused as to how I k-know this. I was sitting by… by D-dad’s Ofrenda, when a woman n-named Karai talked to m-me for a bit, th-then brought my Dad in… into that space. And we talked, he… he explained everything.” She looked up to see the shock on all of her family's faces.

     “I-im d’ne talking, if y-you have any… anything to say… you can.” The world explodes into noise.

     “My dear granddau-” “Why did you give her that no-” “You talked to Nardo-” “Karai’s still oka-” And then, the one voice she latched onto, her Aunt Cassandra, spoke:

     “As you know, I'm DEFINITELY not the best person to help with emotions,” She whispered the next part in a joking tone “but I'm also definitely not the worst.” Then in her normal voice: “Anyway, do you want to go get some cupcakes?”

     Sofi nodded, then followed her aunt out of the lair.

Notes:

I'll be taking a three week break before posting the next instalment. This series will be at least four different stories, maybe five, but that depends on if y'all want to see any art I do for this series.
