Chapter Text
𓆙
It’s dark.
It smells of expired food and reeks of sweat.
The stomach cramps in an uncomfortable way, but not painful.
Is that better or worse?
Dryness. Like there has been a drought.
The faint disconnect of drugs.
Restraints.
Not even the snakes dare stretch.
How many minutes has it been and will it be?
You don’t know.
﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
It’s all just fire and the pure smell of rubbing alcohol.
Ben and Vinney just look so unimpressed while their lab partner just smiled.
“Hey Ben, would you mind telling me why the freaky deaky we let Simone near the match box…?” a purely flabbergasted lesbian tiredly prompted.
Ben, also in partially funny disbelief, stated in a medium to loud voice, “I didn’t! Simone just grabbed it and lit the dish!”
In sync, they finally mentioned the fat ahh elephant in the room, “That he happened to cover with way too much ethanol and salts..”
So that’s why the entire lab has exploded.
Students cradle their burnt limbs and wince at the crippling headaches. Some are cursing, others are crying.
In fact, probably the only student (besides the culprits) who couldn’t give a damn was Gracie (Two) (She/Her), who was currently trying to comfort Jennifa (She/Her) on her burnt bunny ears, simply because she was a zombie and already dead af.
Their teacher, Ms. Lan, was currently scolding the class on safety (Even though nobody thought she would actually do anything about it) and getting the assistant to call someone with healing capabilities (Not including Vinney since that may or may not be explosive at their age).
Soon after that, Evelyn (She/Her), the class’ student nurse in training, moved to the front of the class to try and take care of some of her classmates. Not everyone liked her due to her vague self-harshness and attitude, but nobody can deny that she’s very smart and dedicated to becoming a doctor. All injured teenagers slowly lined up and got unbaked with the power of magic or whatever.
Despite the evident curing of injury, Ben and Vinney still looked so concerned at Simone for blowing up the lab.
Vinney finally broke the oppressive silence between the trio, “That’s it. I’m writing you into my case study of students here.”
“WHY”
What’s Ari doing right now…?

Ari was meant to be at the lab, but honestly, they were redying their purple hair in the school bathrooms. What? Class was boring and nobody really cares anymore. It was actually planned for a while since Aftie just deep cleaned the bathroom so hair dye was banned for at least a day.
They were meant to do it with Leaf… She’s probably faking sick again or getting something from the local year 9 dealer.
Ehhhh what matters now is the fact Ari forgot the damn hair dryer so now they were stuck using the probably damaging hand dryer.
What, has it been like a minute?? Good enough if they wanna leave school on time (The group had resulted back to wrecking havoc outside of school hours once more, with stupid school counsellors & what was essentially prison guards no longer able to control their feats.)
Then again…
They have to leave something for the vaping kids in the bathroom later…
And if anyone asks why there's Verity x Sans mpreg inflation art… Nobody knows who it was.
Making their way to the Transperth bus leaving the school site, Ari pulls out their slightly eaten and cracked as hell phone to reply to this teen they met at Queer Prom. Now speaking, no teen romance really goes anywhere, but objectively speaking, this wouldn’t be the worst option.
Someone who’s into somewhat interesting topics, has decent morals, kinda pretty and y'know not actively trauma dumping on the first person they see (Which is somehow impressive for someone who is willing to talk to a group of ‘freaks’ or whatever society decided to call them today).
The conversation was so ehh, but it’s nice sort of. Until it was cut off by Ari’s phone dying for the 7376573832648276th time. They really should invest in a new phone…Although they never will, due to the green flashing lights that come from inside the phone being a nice commemoration to W.D gaster deltarune.
It’s fine they’ll just steal V’s powerbank/brick since the others were coming into view at the bus stop.
You are ready for what comes next.
﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
Ari has made it to the group to which they start commenting on the purpleness of their hair or well, parts of their body since clearly they didn’t really have the materials to keep the purple away from their skin. (gloves are overrated, booooo!!)
Vinney waved at Via who was with who Vinney presumed to be Lauley, but it was only really paying attention to Via. Zhe saw her making a come here gesture, but it felt a little awkward doing so since Lyn (Any) was with the group and he and Via had some history. Friend group history goes crazy.
Instead Vinney opted for texting Via a, ‘You can do it!!’ message whilst they, Ari, Harold and Le- no entered the bus which just pulled up at the side walk. Luckily, it was a double bus and the last day of term, giving the group plenty of room to sit. Harold, taking advantage of this, decided to keep sprawling out on the bus in true cat fashion, much to Vinney’s protest.
It wasn’t hurting anyone, but common courtesy was somewhat Vinney’s idea of publicity. Yet, zhe understood the silliness of the action so it just led to some false arguing between the duo.
Soon enough, the trio started to confirm their borrowing plans for the small, half empty shopping mall they were going to. It was simply sort of suspicious for more than two people to go to one shop at a time so they grouped up Harry and Vinney, then Ari was going solo. They would switch stores when they got what they needed and it was as simple as that.
With that plan in mind, the teens hopped off the bus at the correct stop and hopped to it.

Harold was being jolly (Why is he so Jolly?) whilst walking besides the dark and intimidating VSillyCreature. Was this her first rodeo? Yes. Was she ready? Sure.
“So.. how do we borrow from the supermarket?” She asked twinium to which they responded with their tidbit on security cams and gates they learnt from Ari and L.
It’s pretty awesome sauce how they could get candy and stuff like that.
After a brief encounter with Arinkle berry, the duo switched stores to this craft/everything/wtf store with the most bullshit security ever.
Vinney got some pretty jewelry and accessories whilst Harold got a gun.
(Confetti of course!!)
Sadly, Ari learnt the incredibly difficult way that inflation peach candy marketed as delicious isn’t as scrumptious as the label describes…As much as they love plastic, funky bin juice flavour isn’t exactly on their favourites list.
They left out the damn entrance because nobody cared (type splish) and Harold did a test shot into a bin, scaring some older women nearby who ended up laughing at the funky situation.
You love times like this.

The group reconvened at a bench outside and showed their hauls.
Not before Harold shot at Ari to just find out it wasn't as loud when out in the open.
They didn’t hesitate to start enjoying each other's company and snack on the treats they earned.
As noon started to set it, they were all once again on a bus, heading to the campus again. It was mostly without issue besides Vinney and Ari stopping Harold from shooting their gun in public transport.
It was beautiful in a way to be standing outside a somehow quiet high school as the sun drifted into the embrace of the ocean.
“We should do this more often”
Nobody looked to see who said it, maybe it was one of them or maybe that's what they all agreed on, either way, they were there talking about everything and nothing.
“Fuck. We all have to see our parents.”
Fuck.
