“What’s going to happen?” Peter whispers softly to his mother once they are alone again.
Mary cups the boy’s face in her hands. For ten years she was able to keep her son away from the life of criminals and psychopaths. After she fled, Tony put in a rule that all hospitals must keep children in custody until a DNA test is completed. There was no way Mary could sneak Peter out.
“He is going to come. I’m sure he will have a few Avengers with him. They will probably separate us.”
Peter grabs her hands, “I won’t let them do that.”
“Peter” Mary leans forward, placing her forehead on his. “Do not fight him. We are both going to do what he instructs. That is the only way to get through this. I…I’m sure he won’t allow us to see each other for a long time. Definitely not until he thinks we are compliant. If we just do what he wants, the sooner we will see each other again. Do you understand?”
The thirteen-year-old nods his head, again allowing tears to flow. “I love you mom.”“I love you too.”
The sound of the door opening causes the duo to freeze. Mary’s blood feels like ice when she hears an all too familiar voice taunt “Daddy’s home.”

Karasuma needed a student to send to UA. Word is, something is brewing in the dark that has its eyes set on the hero academy. The ministry of defense needs someone that can get on a personal level with the students and report back to them. Someone who is trained, someone who is capable. Summary
Izuku has been in foster care for years already, and it's more than long enough that he has learnt how not to trust people, how to protect himself and be watchful, wary, exactly what his new family wants, until they get fed up with him anyway.He doesn't know how to trust Eraserhead and his husband, or even if he wants to trust them.
But, equally, he doesn't know just how much they genuinely want him to be happy and safe; it's a realisation that will come with time and with showing Izuku, every single day in so many tiny ways, that Shouta and Naomasa are here for him, no matter what.

Izuku is oh-so sure that this is a mistake, absolutely adamant, in fact, that something has gone wrong, because he doesn't deserve this.
How could he? He's a Deku, a useless, freakish burden, and he will ruin anything and everything that he touches. He knows it.
But Eraserhead and his husband apparently want him.

Naomasa knows that Shouta is excited. There's no doubt about it. It might not be obvious to most people, but it is to him.
The kid's had an absolutely shit lot in life, Naomasa and Shouta are simply hoping that they might be able to change that.

Summary
“Why isn’t your quirk working?” Aizawa asks, clutching the shaking boy to his chest.
“It’s the kid,” Hizashi says, looking down at Izuku’s trembling body, “He’s canceled out all our quirks, Eraser. Even yours.”
