He’s a few feet away from UA’s gates when he proceeds to trip over his somehow magically untied shoelace and stub his toe roughly on a rock. He thinks, Fuck my life, as he hops around in a miserable, one-footed circle of pain.
He proceeds to almost fall over as a voice that is definitely not his echoes in his mind. What?
What? Izuku thinks back automatically, just as baffled as the voice.
Who... the voice stammers. It’s masculine but young, maybe somewhere around Izuku’s age. Izuku and the voice appear to have the same realisation at the same time.
There’s someone in my head! -dammit what was that demon’s Art?- oh my gosh how the hell- wouldn’t it be cancelled when I killed him? Is this a curse?- stupid snack runs, I’m never leaving my room again. What quirk would even- what is going on?

Summary
Left alone with nothing, his entire family dead, Tanjirou is left shell-shocked.
Giyuu arrives to find 6 fresh graves and a long-gone demon, a kid in tears as he mourns his family. And he couldn't bear to look that child in the eyes and tell him he was the reason they were gone. So he left.
Jigorou passes through town at just the right time, on the way to visit his old friend, only to find an orphaned kid instead. Well, his most recent student, Zenitsu, could use a friend his age.
Watch as Zenitsu and Tanjirou learn to become Demon Slayers alongside one another, Kaigaku learns how to be a decent person, and Tanjirou learns how to keep living.
Or: Tanjirou learns thunder breathing, helps Zenitsu love himself, and helps Kaigaku become an ok person. And in return they help fill a hole in his life his family left behind.

Tanjiro quietly looked at his beloved little sister. Her face was marred with wrinkles and smile lines, her wavy, reddish-black hair now gray with age. Her glittering, peach eyes had glossed over with her declining health.
“You have lived for over seventy years, brother— and you have yet to gain a wrinkle.” She softly smiled at her observation.
“We both know what’s going to happen soon— that’s why I decided to tell you this now.” A pause. Nezuko took a few breaths before continuing.
“I want you to be happy above all else. After I die, you can grieve as long as you need, but I want you to live a long, healthy, and joyous life.”

Summary
Now they all know one of Ubuyashiki's priorities is to keep the slayers, especially the Pillars, very happy since they're the ones risking their lives every day for everyone.
That's why sometimes, he makes matches or tries to, between one of them and his Pillars, although so far his plan hasn't worked quite well. The hashira, except one, remain very much single to this day.
The Kamado family doesn't get surprised when Ubuyashiki's crow arrives; he explains they have been selected to try this new idea the leader of the Corps has in mind, if they want to.
Tanjirou immediately volunteers; he's eighteen now and is very grateful for everything the Pillars do for everyone (even though he hasn't met any of them yet) and he wouldn't mind getting married to one of them if the matchmaking works.

Summary
Aoi's advice is to keep Tanjirou in his room the whole time; he's not physically hurt, but he got hit by a blood demon art that makes him act like he's a bit drunk and very affectionate.
The kakushi who brought him to the butterfly estate were a bit reluctant to let him go because Tanjirou kept telling them they were adorable and gave them kisses and a lot of hugs to each one. However, after Aoi convinced them (she ordered them actually) they left him in one of the recovery rooms alone.

Muzan stared at the vicious twists of flesh that made up the disturbing form of whatever Tanjirou decided to depict on the paper. The thing looked like it came from the deepest pits of hell, its face contorted in a derisive sneer. The misshapen limbs reminded him of what happened in the Dungeon, and the entire piece was framed by unsettling looking mounds (?) of tangled (?) limbs (?). Though, looking closely at the particular shapes, he thought he saw-
-”Tanjirou”
-”Mmh?”
-”Is this Douma?”
The human beamed at him with the brightness of a thousand suns (ouch). He felt a little smug that he guessed right. Tanjirou could give the author of the Mainichi puzzles and guessing games a run for his money.
-”You know, I really think you’ve captured his true nature. This is exactly how I see the real thing. It’s as if you distilled everything that makes him him.”
Or the AU where, after meeting a suspiciously familiar looking child, Muzan decides that exposure therapy is a good thing and maybe kidnaps said child (oops)

Summary
"Tanjirou, don't!" Kie scolds him lightly when the little one grabs a bunch of Yoriichi's hair.
"No, it's fine," Yoriichi assures her again, pulling the toddler closer. "It's alright."
Then he meets baby Nezuko, and Yoriichi decides to keep coming back to the Kamados; he wants to help them as much as he can.
It's difficult to find free time to do that considering he has a lot of responsibilities as the Sun hashira, but he makes an effort.
Time passes and the two eldest start calling him Dad Yoriichi and their father just Dad, however, the Pillar tries to correct them every single time, even though it makes him feel warm and fuzzy every single time.

Summary
Aoi knows black magic is too powerful to be contained or defeated and even so Tanjirou, a white magic user, managed to defeat Muzan, at the cost of his own life. It doesn't surprise her, but it still hurts her deeply, because Tanjirou was nothing but kind to her and everyone around him.
The hashira, the strongest white magic users, couldn't make it on time to protect Tanjirou; Muzan is finally dead, sure, but none of them are smiling or celebrating.
They stay still for what it seems to be an eternity, as Tanjirou's body lies on the ground; he doesn't breathe anymore. Kanroji is the first one to kneel next to him and take him into her arms. She's crying, tears falling from her eyes as she presses Tanjirou's cheek against hers and screams in agony.

Summary
It’s been a while since Iguro saved him and his sister; now they live with him in his estate which is an enormous place for a pair of fairies like them.
Of course, Tanjirou and Nezuko can grow full human size, but they both prefer to stay like that; it’s easier to hide from demons and it’s their natural size so they’re used to it.
However, Tanjirou does grow bigger every now and then so he can hug Iguro and his friend Kanroji. The first time that happened, the fairy with long, red hair thought they both got mad because the love hashira turned completely red and Iguro almost passed out.

Summary
It's been a month since he's been training in the butterfly estate as a kakushi, and he's finally been given his uniform. Tanjirou is really happy!
He has lost count of how many letters he has sent to his family since he left home, but there's been a lot of them. After that slayer saved him and his family from a demon, Tanjirou thought about becoming a slayer as a way to help the Corps and send his family even more money than he ever did as a charcoal seller.
In his mind, it was a perfect plan. However, Nezuko and his mother begged him not to do anything that risky because they wanted to see him again at some point.
Tanjirou has never been good at denying them things, so he agreed, but since he was determined to help the slayers in some way, he found out about the kakushi and decided to become one instead.

Summary
In order to stay away from their past, the Uzuis move into a little village near a mountain. The people are really nice there and the most important part of it is that nobody knows them.
They get used to the lifestyle there, not as flamboyant as Tengen would like it to be, but it's a place where they can be happy while he fulfills his duties as a hashira.
One day, while Makio, Suma and Hinatsuru are in the center of the village to buy food, a beautiful boy, probably eighteen or a bit older, comes with a basket full of charcoal.

But the worst part is that they fell in love with Tanjirou, Zenitsu's best friend, and it's been a nightmare ever since.
