Summary
Thaddeus Ross failed to convince the government to enforce the Sokovia Accords. Without the war between Tony and Steve, Tony had no reason to seek Spider-Man’s help, so he never went looking for him.
Peter Parker was never forgotten. He simply never got the chance for anyone to remember him. After Uncle Ben’s death, he lost a part of himself. After May was murdered, he was completely lost. He left his friends behind, because whenever he put on the Spider-Man suit, everyone close to him was in danger. He was left to fend for himself. He fought crime in Queens, completely devoting himself to his second identity so that he wouldn’t have to remember the wreck of a man he hid beneath the mask.
To society, Peter Parker was nobody. Spider-Man was everything. For a long time, he balanced school, work, and fighting crime, and managed to keep going. At least until S.H.I.E.L.D. branded him their number one enemy. That was when everything started falling apart. How was he supposed to fight crime when every time he appeared on S.H.I.E.L.D.’s radar, the Avengers were sent to take him down? How was he supposed to keep functioning when his heroes made getting rid of him their goal?
