Summary
Thomas Kazansky never thought he could have this: an actual life, civilian, complete with a beautiful house husband and a white picket fence house in the middle of suburban San Diego. It seems too good to be true for someone like him with so much red in his ledger, someone who’s supposed to live and die in the shadows. But instead, he comes home to the love of his life and peace. Blessed peace. He doesn’t deserve this, he thinks, not really.
"God, what did you order? A ton of bricks?" Tom grunts as he lifts the bundle and sets it down on the dinner table with a thump. The table groans under the weight but holds.
"Oh, just the new curtain rods for the guest bedroom," Pete shrugs. "It's solid hardwood. Oak," he lies because of course he does. He can't exactly tell his very normal civilian husband that he's holding a new state of the art sniper rifle in his hands. Complete with the scope that he ordered. He supposes it can also function as a curtain rod in a pinch, it's just simply not made of hardwood.
