Summary
Recurring dreams about an otherworldly man have Cloud questioning what's real and what isn't.
The dreams themselves are heavenly, and Cloud is shown pleasure unlike anything he's experienced before. But waking up in the aftermath grows increasingly concerning when all he can think about is glowing green eyes.When Cloud encounters the man in the waking world, he's forced to admit that his dreams weren't as unreal as he'd believed.
And after agreeing to let the man have him, he learns that his dreams could never compare to the real thing. -

They saw the sword in Sephiroth's apartment. It was a beautiful piece of work that no one had any idea how and when Sephiroth had obtained such a weapon.
Sephiroth never used it. He would polish the blades until they reflected the sun from the windows and the moon in the sky. He would glare at any who interrupted this time, as if they had intruded onto his very heart and soul.
Lovingly, tenderly, carefully; like the sound of a sword being drawn from its sheath.

Written for the Chocolate Box Exchange 2021
Lately, Cloud's night time hallucinations have been becoming more frequent and more unsettling. Plagued by strange dreams and an increasing apprehension that there might be something more going on - something sinister that lies just beyond his grasp. Cloud fears his own mind might be slowly slipping from him and no one seems to be willing to give him any answers, least of all the man who keeps insisting on playing the main part in Cloud's nightly torment.
