This was bad. He’d never gone down this fast, this unexpectedly, this off schedule. He’d always had his ruts regularly, something Darko had told him was impressive for someone who smoked and snorted like his lungs were only a concept. It was how he knew he wasn’t too far gone, he was still (technically, others might not have agreed) on the straight and narrow. If you did too much partying, your body was thrown off its rhythm. And now this cute little fucker with his blue eyes and bare neck and biteable fucking ears had waltzed in and somehow done more damage than all the coke he’d taken since he was twelve. Adam fucking Raki, the most dangerous drug in Manhattan, the first hit enough to ruin you, the smell of the little fucker enough to make you drool.

Adam accidentally triggers Nigel's rut, and feels like he should probably offer to help him. Purely out of kindness, of course, not because he wants to or anything. Definitely not.

Killing them had been Will's intention, not just a considered possibility. When he threw Hannibal and himself into the Atlantic, it was supposed to swallow them. He was supposed to die with Hannibal, the only rightful conclusion to their story. But he didn't. They didn't. And now he is so very painfully alive.
