Finally, laying on her couch after wracking her brain in the shower, she opened her phone back up and her eyes focused on the blue dot once more.
This time, it was completely still.
He was back at PTMC, but from what she could make out on the pixelated drone shot of the hospital, he didn’t seem to be in the ED?
Weird, she thought, before swiping out and moving over to their texts.
Make it home?
She tapped out quickly, thinking maybe she’d get an explanation for why he hadn’t done just that.
She sat there for a beat, staring at the little blue message. After a moment the small gray read popped up along with the three little dots that her eyes stayed fixed on.
Yup, just walked through the door!
At the sight of his message her head pulled back and her eyebrows scrunched in confusion and surprise. He very clearly wasn’t home.
