Eddie Munson thought he knew how his final senior year would go, but everything changed when a class project with Chrissy Cunningham sets off a chain of events that lands him face-first in the middle of Hawkins' supernatural war. And then there’s Steve, a merman bound to the sea by a force only a true love’s kiss can break. He never meant to get involved with a bunch of land-walking kids, let alone become their protector in a fight he doesn’t fully understand.
When a storm crashes their worlds together, Eddie and Steve find themselves on opposite sides of the shore but fighting for the same thing: the people they love.
TL;DR: A S4 retelling with found family, grief, merman lore, themes of identity, platonic true love, and Steve Harrington absolutely not coping with being a merman

Part vampire AU/Kas Theory, part fix-it fic
Steve and Robin narrowly escape a fight with a bloodthirsty creature in the Upside Down - only to realize it's one of their fallen comrades.
Future chapter(s) follow the team, including Dustin, trying to get through to Eddie as he struggles to regain control of his mind. And to do so without hurting his friends.
Title's from the Journey song, since y'know, they went their "Separate Ways" at the end of season 4.

Summary
Vecna comes across Eddie's lifeless body, and resurrects him to become his champion. Eddie desperately tries to stay conscious to keep from falling under Vecna’s control.
Basically my thoughts on what Vecna bringing Eddie back would look like, aka a prequel to the existence of Kas/Vampire Eddie. It's not pretty. Leads into possession, because I figure Eddie might not join Vecna of his own accord. Absolutely FULL of angst. Contains manipulation, descriptions of his death, visions of Chrissy, and Eddie trying to remain in control. Involves suffocation. Implied to end with Kas!Eddie coming to be.
Serves as a prequel to my “Separate Ways” story, but is NOT required reading. Feel free to skip this if angst and gore are not your thing.
