Set a few days after “2x11: There’s Something About Mira” Usually Carlton was moody, constantly barking order which isn’t abnormal. Except Shawn noticed Carlton being more than his usual growling additive, realizing Lassiter reinjured his collarbone again after crashing into that table during chasing the suspect at Guster’s Exwife, Mira’s vineyard. This leaves Shawn clueing the pieces for an explanation of what is going on with Carlton. While Shawn started being randomly affectionate without using his visions as an excuse to be nice or touch Lassie.
As they left Shawn caught a small wave in his direction and grinned happily. Juliet stared widely at her partner in alarm. Carlton’s grin wiped off his face and groaned. “What?”
“Since when do you and Shawn fist bump and hug each other, Carlton?”
The detective demissed. “Shawn and I have been working on this case for a week now together, I think he’s starting to mature.”
“Shawn…maturing, Lassiter…” Juliet pressed her palm to Lassiter’s forehead. “Are you feeling okay? Are you sure you aren’t getting sick? Maybe I should tell the Chief you need time to recuperate.”
“O’Hara, get your hand off my forehead, immediately.” Carlton growled, fierce glare.
