Summary
A retelling of the excanon series through the eyes of a young trans main character, Rhiannon. Rather than at first directly changing canon events I have chosen to instead have characters react to them more realistically, causing some actions that happened in canon to have greater consequences and by this ripple effect gradually altering the story. Because excanon was a war story sanitised for children, it IS going to get dark at times. Sometimes for a few chapters at a time. But I am writing that dark on purpose because excanon didn't do any of it emotional justice, and I am writing a stronger found family & friend circle for my main character, because we can survive all kinds of darkness if we stand together.
I do feel the need to state that this is one of those cases where the distinction between derivative fiction and fanfiction is important.
This is not a fanwork, it is not your tranny-approved guilt-free Harry Potter escapism, and it is not a fixit.Series

Dudley Dursley lives with the guilt of what his family had done to his cousin, which can never be forgiven. He resents the person he used to be and tries to live as a better person, but a part of himself can never truly get over how cruel he had been to the kind-hearted Harry. After a car accident, he wakes to find himself a child all over again.
He sets out to make Harry's childhood better, as much as he can. All the while he must hide the fact, he too, now has magic as well. It shouldn't be too hard, should it?- Language:

Summary
Harry Potter married his Hogwarts sweetheart Ginny Weasley. But a freak accident turned him into a widower with a young son to raise on his own. Will he find love again or will he spend the rest of his life alone? Come read a different twist on what life is like for The Chosen One and his classmates as they navigate adulthood, marriage and parenting. (Updated summary 12/31/20)
My original summary was Draco and Hermione play cupid, but my summation skills have improved in the last three years. Plus also the story has developed quite a bit, although the basic premise remains.
