Summary
When the Ministry informs Harry that they are coming to destroy his wand for defending himself from the dementors that attack him in Little Whinging, Harry knows there's only one path left available to him. He can survive on his own. He knows how. It won't even be that hard. And being on the run in his animagus form makes him a feel a little closer to Sirius, anyway.
At least, he thinks so, until he's picked up by a pet store, sold to a classmate, and brought right back to Hogwarts where the state of things is so bad that he's actually glad he's expelled.

Summary
In the summer of Harry´s fourth year, he decides that enough is enough. He needs his own place, so Harry moves to a little apartment in seedy, Knockturn Alley. He gets a job at the local pub and in no time, he meets people who change his life. This story follows the perspectives of the people and places Harry Potter meets.
This story is based around a challenge I did ages ago where each chapter has to be 100 words more than the last.

Fred opened the book and began to write. He only got a few words down before the diary absorbed them, the ink vanishing without a trace, prompting George to lean in closer to observe.
“Maybe this is some elaborate joke on Ginny’s part to educate us on proper brotherly behaviour?” George mused, just as new words began to appear on the empty page. Well, that seemed a bit ambitious for a first-year…
