Summary
The gods were going crazy being torn between their Greek and Roman personas. The Fates decreed that the only way to stop it was for the gods to completely forsake their other side that made them Greek or Roman. Unfortunately, it includes their demigod children.
Zeus/Jupiter decided to declare an all out war between the two camps so the choice of who will survive will fall on their children's hands. Jason, hailed as the emperor of New Rome led the Camp Jupiter prevailed and they prevailed. The Greek half bloods were stripped of their godly gifts and became the slaves of the Romans.
Percy Jackson, the greatest among the Greek half-bloods were given two choices: to protect his friends by submitting or by defying and have him watched their suffering.
