Summary
War and peace. Looming war and rumors of war. This is the human condition, to always be aware of other humans waiting to pounce, to predate, to take and to destroy, to use for their own gain or pleasure what isn't theirs. In an intergalactic civilization lacking any such concept, only a Deathworlder stands between them and the beginning of the end.
A Boltzmann Brain of sorts has popped into existence, as they do, and brought with it a predacity synonymous at once with madness and purest evil: Locust-women!
Let this be their first, last, and only battlefield.
NB: Probably safe enough to rate as General audiences, but with the Cat-girls, the innuendos seem enough that I should rate it as Teen; it's not really PG, more like borderline PG-13 (my head-canon is that the Locust-women are something like Slaanesh Daemonettes, but this is a light and fluffy HFY series, so I don't characterize their details herein, and hence the whole is nowhere near as intense as it would be in a WH40K fic). Your call.

Summary
As Holly attempts new maneuvers, the holiday season gets to everyone. Lister sinks to a new low: wine, actual wine, the expensive stuff in a real live glass bottle and everything! In his drunken state, he lurches around the corridors of Z Deck and finds a new playmate: a female Cat.
Meanwhile, the infinite number of Hollies that caused this forgot to carry a one somewhere, and yet another zany grade-B monster is now on the loose. The crew must catch it if they've any hope of putting the colour back in their cheeks.
>S02E06 (“Parallel universe”), and <S06E01 (“Psirens”); i.e.: S03-S05. Intended to be canon-compliant: I portray Hols as v. 1, hence the masculine, but this isn't crucial, she can easily be v. 2 .
N.B.: The physics equations are valid, but the Treknobabble scenario is just pure pulp sci-fi in classic RD fashion. The equations might be fun for any physics geeks reading this, but no more necessary to enjoy the unfolding tale than they are for any Dwarf episode; same for the Esperanto.

Join Avery D'Arc, “Space Orc” [Human], as he wrestles with the mysteries of the universe, Cat-girls with no conception of personal space, and the slings and arrows of outrageous vacation destinations.
The deuteragonist (Avery's “girlfriend”) is a shape-shifting alien Genomorph, hence the pronoun “zer”. When you get to UWP AL6500031, you might wish to consult the Traveller UWP charts (RPG planetary data). For those of you just walking into the story, this is in a series, occurring right after a story that forked into another series; please see the header-notes section for background.
Ch. 1 is Dr. Who-ish (with Cthulhu overtones); for the crazy Space Cat-girl shenanigans, jump ahead to chapter two. 🙂
NB 27 Sep 2021: 4th [short] story in series, added yesterday! (Happy almost-anniversary [17 Oct] to the first 2 Space Orcs stories in the series!)

Ranulf, immortal, looks back across the gulf of eternity, knowing now that what has been can never be again.
Technically, this story presumably occurs on an Earth variant within the Galactic Disc world-pond, to the southeast of Earth One in the Icewall universe map.

Summary
We join Professor Hilbert as he lectures freshman inductees on higher-dimensional space and the freedoms and constraints that attend these, the practical considerations, psychological effects (can one ever truly go home?), and the subtler geometric and topological quirks of ordinal (not cardinal) physical dimensions (e.g.: how while an n-1 boundary manifold could be viewed as having two distinguishable faces w.r.t. the n-body, the same isn't arbitrarily true when considered from the perspective of n+1 dimensional rotations). A fair bit of hyperdimensional terminology is introduced, and Flatland and Planiverse references are made in the analogies.
Some of it is certainly true of n-dimensional geometry for a given set of axioms, some of it (the physics in particular) is peculiar to the story setting. Except where noted otherwise, the illustrations herein are my own work entirely (please let me know if they miss their mark in visualizing the relevant material).
