so I sobbed . so hard
update since my school blocked ao3 as soon as I finished this fic. This is so fucking beautifully written and the characterization is perfect. Chaper 7 and 8 fucking BROKE ME. Chapter 7's jumble of all those events left me shaking and I genuinely needed a break after it lmao. This fic means so much to me personally as well. Fucking love quirrel. The Pure Vessel has been Knighted officially as The Hollow Knight. A construct to seal The Infection away and free Hallownest from its clutches. The Kingdom's greatest tool.
But then why? How come a tool has declined so much during training in the last month? Since the King stopped coming to focus on the Temple's construction. A tool acting like a nervous cadet; repeating every move set in the training matches. Unable to use new openings, sticking with the same attacks; with the same precision.
As if the tool is trying to convince itself to be a tool.
This left a bitter taste in Isma's mouth.
