Summary
The yacht lurched again, but this wave wasn't anywhere near as forgiving as the others had been. Lizzie felt herself hit the deck, and then slide, and she tried to grab for Joel's hand but couldn't quite reach him. It took a few seconds for her to realize that the boat had fully tipped sideways. Just before she lost consciousness, she register the fact that she was falling. Then the water came crashing down.

Summary
The world is driving Jimmy to the very edge of insanity.
Bandits have been terrorising his town. Jimmy has to put his foot down, respect the badge he’d been given and take care of the threat to keep the people from revolting against him. It doesn’t help that there is a sinister power behind the bandits and a mystery to be solved if he wants the threat to stop.
On top of that he can feel his insides changing, morphing into whatever a certain god of thunder wills it to. In his case, a lifeless toy. It’s a race against the clock to find something to beat Joel and remain real.
When the solution to all his problems is handed to him, it’s both everything he’d ever wanted and his worst nightmare coming true.

Summary
Jimmy sighed softly, adjusting his wings to take some pressure off an aching point near his spine.
He missed Tango, was the truth of it. He knew his soulmate was on the same server as him, not even that far away with how small the map felt this season, but it still felt too far. Especially after the lone, brief exchange they’d had earlier in the rush of the game–
Teasing and bickering across a small stretch of water, Joel killing the cow, Etho spinning the boat around to face him, Tango leaping across the water to get a better view. Then Jimmy had rushed forward, had elbowed Tango aside, had only realized his mistake when he caught Tango’s stumbled, half-wincing landing out of the corner of his eye. He had cast a sheepish smile back over his shoulder, tossed back an apology - “Sorry, rancher!” - and their eyes, however briefly, had met. Tango had grinned, had laughed, had looked almost proud, and then threatened his life with a smile and wink. Then Jimmy and Joel had fled, and Etho had watched them go, and then…
Jimmy withheld another sigh and sat up, rolling his shoulders and his head to dispel the crick in his neck. There was no way he could sleep like this.

Summary
He releases the bolt, and it thuds into the wall behind the target. He lowers the crossbow with a huff, wings tensing behind him as he glares at the bolt, the fifth one to embed itself in the wall.
It’s several feet to the left of the target, far too off for him to even try and claim that he had just been a little off. He hears someone laugh, looking over to his left. He has to turn his head all the way around to face the person laughing at him.
