Summary

dragon hunter kim taehyung is tasked with slaying the last known dragon in their region. it hasn’t been spotted in a long time up until that day. an older hunter had shot an arrow in its arm and it fled. when taehyung reaches its thought-to-be home on a mountainside by a waterfall, inside the cave he finds his childhood best friend, jeon jeongguk, with half a dragon body (unable to fully shift back atm), a bleeding wing and tears in his eyes.

prince taehyung who is about to take the throne and black magic witch jeongguk, exiled for his use of magic. jeongguk had been healing the sick in the villages that the king always neglected, helping them out whenever he was able.
taehyung is nothing like his father, the king. when tae takes the throne after an accident (“accident”?), he makes it his mission to fix his father’s mistakes. he wants to heal the villages, see to those exiled and right the wrongs, strengthen kingdom and territorial bonds, etc. that’s when he properly meets jeongguk. he knew of jeongguk before and was already interested in the "evil witch", so that's one of the first things he does.- just go wild!!
- jeongguk is sweet but skeptical of tae (for good reason and tae understands that, he takes after his mom). tae is also sweet but won’t take crap from others
- “it’s not actually magic,” jeongguk says as he shows taehyung his home (but it is magic)

Elf Taehyung has always been an explorer. One day he accidentally stumbles upon a group of wizards plotting to take over the entire kingdom. They speak of a weapon they are forging that will bring the territories to their knees. All they need is one more piece - a jewel forged in the dragon territory.
Taehyung races to warn the others, but the elves refuse to listen to him. Taehyung is desperate to stop the wizards and decides to make the journey to warn the dragons before it is too late.
