Touya Todoroki's shoes lie heavy in his hands, a childish, cobalt blue.
“I think it’s exactly what it looks like,” Hawks says with a tone Dabi’s never heard before, especially not directed at him. “I think you’ve taken the information I gave you to break into Endeavour’s house and steal from his dead child to taunt him.”
“It’s not,” Dabi says, and he knows that he can't possibly explain this to him without telling him the truth.
Or: Dabi revisits the Todoroki residence to take some of his old things back for himself, and gets caught by Hawks, who spots him coming out of the window.

"Oh, you aren’t real," Dabi states plainly, as though it must be fact. It isn’t a fact, though, because Dabi isn’t real. Hawks knows he can’t be real, because this is all some sort of dream, although he feels as though he shouldn’t be in a dream at the moment. He had been… busy. Doing… something. Then he was fading into a scene, a memory. Back to he and Dabi sitting together in Dabi’s old room at the PLF headquarters, before the whole building was destroyed in the raid. They had kissed in this room, just once, tentatively, a week before Hawks killed Bubaigawara and Dabi burned Hawks near to death in his manic rage.Or; When Dabi and Hawks wake up in a reality that imitates their romantic dreams, they both have an opportunity to explore their budding relationship without the pressure of the world around them. Meanwhile, they aren't the only ones trapped in this dream, and Class 1-A searches for the group of suddenly missing persons.

“My birthday isn’t for another six months,” Hawks says. “Didn’t you know we have the same star sign? I thought I told you. Or, I thought Toga would’ve told you.”
“Not like that," Dabi mutters, tipping his head back onto the couch. He hears Hawks hum.
“Like what, then?”
“I mean you can hurt me,” Dabi says. “If you want.”
