"Tommy— your form was good." Eret says. When Tommy makes eye contact with him, he looks a little worried, so he drops his gaze. There's a pause between them, as if Eret is considering something.
He sounds.. hesitant. “Go again for me, this time on your left foot."
Tommy's heart drops. Fuck.
He knows it's going to be agonizing. His intestines are twisting themselves into knots just thinking about it, and he knows he can't refuse. Eret didn't ask this time, he told him to. He has to do it whether he wants to or not, or Eret will be mad. He doesn't want to make Eret mad— doesn't think he'd be able to handle himself if he was.
Yes sir. "Okay."
or, in which Tommy is used to having a figure skating coach that is always out for his throat. He’s still in the process of figuring out that his new coach, Eret, is decidedly.. nothing like his old one.

Wilbur's heart sank.
"I want you," Jared leans down, his breath ghosting over Wilbur's ear, he flinches back so violently, his ribs burning. He takes a deep breath in sharply, it doesn't help. "To break his leg."
or, Wilbur and Tommy are cornered by some old faces that send pure, untampered fear through Wilbur. Jared, and the rest of the Hypixal team.

"Tubbo, you have nothing to worry about." and the way Tommy says it makes it sound true, somehow, someway. He thinks he's always liked that about Tommy— the way he makes things seem so easy.
They're stood still near the wall, Tubbo still gripping onto their arms for dear life. "We're going to move now— we'll go slow, okay?" Tommy says, "Breathe, Tubbo."
"Tommy—"
"Yeah?"
He has to admit it. "I’m.. scared."
Or, in which Tommy tries to teach Tubbo and Ranboo how to ice skate. Ranboo is excited, but Tubbo very much.. isn’t.

It hurts. It hurts so bad he can hardly think through the pain and he wants off the ice.
But Tommy hadn’t gotten where he’d gotten by indulging petty wants, so he just leans on the hockey stick and tries not to keel over.
“You alright?” Techno asks, suddenly in front of him. “Do you—”
“I’m fine,” Tommy lies, and before Techno can call him on it, Tommy makes himself prove it.
Sometimes, it's hard for Tommy to convince himself that he's worth taking care of.
~ft. an Olympic hockey team, their emotional support figure skater, and a sprained ankle that really isn't that bad, until it is.

“And everyone is so old,” Tubbo complains. Somehow, without them knowing about it, Tubbo’s managed to swipe a waffle and is chewing on it happily. Sapnap stifles a laugh. “Well, not everyone, I guess- the kid in our room is our age, I think. He might be younger.”
Wilbur perks up. “Does he ice skate?”
“Yeah, he does. He’s got these sick skates and everything.” Tubbo explains. “He’s quiet though. We tried talking to him, but…”
“But?”
Tubbo shrugs. "He's quiet. He doesn't talk much. I guess he's busy."
or, Tommy's made it to the Olympics for figure skating- he's the youngest contestant on the ice and he's the favor for the gold. He's supposed to be living the dream. So why is he still so unhappy? And why do all these hockey players and snowboarders care so much about him?

It has to be. His coach is... strict, but he is the only constant Tommy really has nowadays. He wouldn’t just leave him.
Tommy ignores the choke of doubt that floods up his throat, the one that says, He would.
The minute Tommy stops being good, he would.
