Tommy felt at peace any time he was able to escape to the beach. His mother was there, his probable brother was there. He had a family already, he didn’t need any of these foster families. It was to no surprise that Tommy and the foster care system did not get on well. He would never stop searching for the family that he deserved. His birth mum and whoever that other little boy was.

Wilbur frowns, but it's Techno who steps forward. "Tommy, he's not going to do anything," Techno tells him cautiously. "You don't need to worry, alright?"
To you, Tommy would say, if he was stronger. He's not going to do anything to you.
But he doesn't. Tommy keeps his mouth shut—whatever it takes to stay.
When Techno and Wilbur Soot-Watson anger a bully, it shouldn't be an issue. They are as untouchable as they can get, for students anyway.
It's unfortunate that Tommy, their foster brother, isn't. Being their soft spot, it only makes sense that he becomes the next target.

Tubbo had just stared at him with his usual greeting looking for a summer job of walking dogs or mowing on his lips. He hadn't ever had someone just decide to be his best friend, and Tubbo had been stubborn enough to ignore this random kid, except the one person more stubborn than Tubbo was Tommy.
So Tommy and Tubbo became best friends that summer.

In eight-year-old Tommy’s humble opinion, his family was the best. They were kind and listened to him and explained why he was wrong in terms he understood. They cared about him and Tommy cared about them in turn.
He had fond memories of both his parents up until he was eleven years old, when his father had gotten into a car accident on the way home from work. He remembered his mother sobbing and not understanding why until it hit him that oh, he’s not coming back. Then it had been just him and his mother.
And he had been abandoned less than a year later.

It’s warping them, now, the narrative. Wilbur can see it in his brother’s eyes, the way he stares at the sword like he’s been nicked by its blade. Wilbur holds out his hand. “Here, I’ll take this.”
Wordlessly, Tommy gives him the sword.
There’s a gash running down his shoulder, and Wilbur takes a breath through his nose, feels the air and wind rush down his throat. It still smells like rain.
When he speaks, he rewrites the canon, and he blurts, “Utah. I was born and raised in Utah.” It stings his cheeks.

That day had not been a great one for the Big Man Tommy. He just didn’t feel right all day. His body didn’t feel like his own and it was one of those days that his skin felt like it was too small and he would burst out of it if literally anything touched him.

Tubbo squeezes his hands into a fist, the sharp corners of metal digging into soft skin. The locket once served as a reminder that he could be happy despite everything; he could have a life, a family, even among chaos.
But that’s all gone, and once again Dream is at fault.
Maybe it had some influence over Tubbo’s decision, and maybe he was standing in front of the crowd not because he wants peace among the land but because he selfishly wants revenge. He wants Dream gone.
This trial is long overdue.
As a last attempt to gain peace over the land, Tubbo calls for a trial to send Dream to the end dimension. But there is something wrong.
