Summary
“Oh come on, Dal,” she said, loud enough for everyone to hear. Her lips pulled into a mocking facsimile of a smile. “You can't tell me you’re happy with some kid who still needs to ride the bus.”
"The bus?" A cruel smirk tugged at his lips as he lifted both hands in a crude gesture, grabbing himself roughly through his jeans. "Honey, that kid can ride me just fine."

Summary
"Hey, Curls, what brings ya' here?" Ponyboy asks, a small smile across his face. I swallow hard and smile back, my bottom lip trembling slightly.
"Hey, Pony. I, well, um-" I pause, hissing through my teeth and squeezing my eyes shut.
"Jesus, man, what's the matter? You're sweatin' like a pig," Ponyboy says, looking me up and down. I swallow again, slowly removing my hand from the coat pocket, revealing my mangled finger.
