One house full of photos of a relationship they spent years hiding. One evening that was supposed to be about celebrating happy things, and mostly is, and occasionally is not, and often is both at once.Rose flies in from California for exactly one hour. Hayden Pike arrives with a package he was specifically instructed not to open. Harris Drover has a very long night. Luca Haas brings a plus one nobody was expecting. Svetlana arrives fashionably late and proceeds to out-drink a roomful of professional athletes.
Somewhere between the trays and the beer pong, Shane remembers why he married a man who looks at him like that.
Shane and Ilya, being Shane and Ilya, manage to find several private rooms in their own house across the course of the evening. At least two of their guests do the same. Nobody involved is entirely innocent.
Also, Shane, somewhere in the mix is still learning that he does not have to carry any of it alone.

“You blush very easily, Shane,” he said lightly.

“You do,” Ilya replied, completely unbothered, tapping the bar for another round like the argument was already settled. “But is cute. I think I keep you.”
Shane snorted despite himself. “You can’t just keep people.”
Ilya glanced back at him, eyes bright and mischievous. “Watch me.”
