"I'm gonna die without ever kissing a girl," Robin laughs feeling half-crazed from everything.
The battle is raging around them but Nancy doesn't look away from Robin's face as she ties a ripped piece of her shirt around Robin's bleeding head.
"If it really looks like we're going to die," Nancy ties off the knot and locks eyes with Robin. "I'll kiss you."
Robin's brain short circuits.

Summary
“Robin hates having people over,” Steve eyed her skeptically. “‘Cause of the stuff with her mom. She’s kind of…rude to Rob in front of other people.”
Something hot and tight snapped in Nancy’s chest.
“I’m going to talk to her.”
“To – Rob?” Steve asked, eyeing Nancy warily. This wasn’t color-coded notes, scheduled study sessions, long-term goals, strategic Nancy Wheeler. This was sawed-off-shotgun, eyes blazing, ask forgiveness not permission, protect the people she loved Nancy Wheeler, and both of them knew it.
“To her mom,” Nancy said firmly, and Steve groaned audibly.
OR
One thing that Nancy Wheeler won't stand for is anyone hurting the people she cares about. Not monsters, not psychic psychopaths, not well-intentioned mothers.

Summary
Death is cruel, and living is much, much crueler. But having to live with yourself forever? That’s the cruelest fate of all.
Nancy Wheeler mourns for who she was and despises who she has become. Or rather what she has become, and the curse of destruction that came with it. Her very existence has morphed into something she sees as a blight against humanity, and she has vowed to make sure that no one should suffer the same fate as her. That no one should ever have to even come across monsters like her.
In the short year after becoming one herself, hunting vampires has become second nature to Nancy. She has never once had any pause in her crusade, driven purely by unbridled rage and blind hatred of all who cursed her to this life and shared her curse.
So then why, why was Robin Buckley different?

Summary
“Shit,” she sighed gravely, and her body acted on instinct, doing the only thing she could do easily and confidently now, reaching out for Nancy.
“It’s okay,” Nancy immediately told her, nodding confidently and looking deeply into her eyes, as if she could pass Robin all the confidence that Nancy herself had in Robin. “You got this,” Nancy added, very softly, and it was exactly what Robin needed, or so she thought. Next, Robin took one brave step forward, getting ready to jump, but she felt Nancy tug on her hand. “Wait, Robin,” Nancy said right before stealing one priceless, electrifying kiss. Now that was exactly what Robin needed to believe she could walk on a tightrope through hell and come out a winner. “Go ahead, I’m right behind you,” Nancy said, at last, urging her forward with a warm smile.

Summary
“So just talk to her, then.”
“That’s the total opposite of my problem, Dingus” Robin says, “Whenever I have a crush, it's like I can’t do anything but talk. ”
Finally freed from the woollen fabric of her scarf, Nancy raises an eyebrow. “What do you mean?” she teases, sliding into the empty seat next to Steve. “You always talk a lot.”
Five infuriating things about Robin, and why Nancy wants her around anyways.
