Steve Harrington's Guide To Planning a Party (Without Blowing Up) by Anonymous

Summary
In a way, Steve was kind of grateful for the swift intervention.
He knew now, after all, that most people in the world didn't have the ability to pick out people's emotions, and in a town like Hawkins he wouldn't have lasted long if he commented on every feeling he encountered. It was the reason why despite everything, he had turned out normal, despite all of life's attempts to turn him into something other than a popular somewhat dim-witted jock. And then one day he’d walked into the Byers household and been slapped in the face with the most godawful aura he'd ever experienced in his life, and he just knew he wasn’t going to be coming back from this.
or:
Steve has secret powers, which isn't really an issue except he's now dealing with his unexpected feelings(tm) for one Eddie Munson and suddenly things just got a lot more complicated. Also, he has the nasty habit of blowing shit up when he gets stressed which makes the whole 'secret' part of his powers hard.
The situation is totally and completely under his control, he just has to plan this stupid 'We saved the world (again)' party and he should be fine.
Totally fine.Series

"What the hell, dude?" A voice says, rough and tired. "You couldn't have fallen a foot to the left? You crushed my records!"
"WHAT THE FUCK."
"You didn't land on my Zeppelin, did you? Can you check?"
"WHAT IS HAPPENING?"
"Stop yelling, dude, I'm hungover!"
"You're dead!" Steve blinks, rubs at his eyes, blinks again. That's it, he's officially lost it. He's seeing things. Maybe Vecna's back, or something, making him hallucinate, because why else would he be seeing a very much alive Eddie Munson right now? A very much alive Eddie Munson who's staring at him from where he's hunched under his desk, his hair everywhere and his eyes strangely liquid, yelling at him for breaking his records, of all things.
"Evidently not." Eddie says, gesturing a lazy hand over himself and trying a sharp-toothed smile but mostly just looking exhausted and scared.

Ever since Vecna, Steve hasn't been able to stand silence. He needed music playing in the background at all time, too scared and on edge, the image of Max floating coming to mind again and again. He'd never told anyone this, so when the power goes out and Steve is left in silence, where can he go?
OR
Eddie plays Steve the guitar until the lights turn back on to help him calm down from a panic attack.

Summary
When he got just a few feet away from a clearing, Steve heard a branch snap.
So, Steve did the thing that anyone who had been beaten, drugged and just defeated a monster would do, and lunged forward, yelling and swinging his bat around.
He was greeted with screaming, and not from a monster from another dimension, but of a human, from his dimension.
Steve lowered the bat as Eddie “The Freak” Munson was backed against a tree with wide eyes.
(After the Big Boss Battle in Season 3, Steve needs some time to think, and instead sees a familiar stranger in the woods)

"Steve 'the Hair' Harrington, a rage-filled barbarian, who knew?" Eddie says, like its a compliment, like Steve has ANY idea what that means.
"Uh, I knew. Obviously." Steve says, wisely, even though he clearly didn't. "Anyway, do you think we could eat a demobat? Or would we turn into some kind of monstrous freak? I'm starving, and Dustin's cheese crackers are not enough to get me on my feet again."
"What difference does it make to me if I'm a human freak or a monster one?" Eddie shrugs, and Steve butts his shoulder up against Eddie. It's meant to be brotherly, maybe friendly, but it's too soft. Felt like something he might have done before slinging an arm around a girl's shoulders.
"You're not a freak." Steve says, and finds he means it.
Eddie's eyes, when he looks at Steve, are curious. "No?"
"No."

Summary
It’s the first time in a while that he doesn’t know what comes next. He’s dove into the water hundreds of times. Screamed as his flesh was torn apart, heard Master of Puppets in the distance and held back tears. Felt Max’s cold, small hand in his as she laid in the hospital bed. There are things that always happen, no matter how hard he tries: El doesn’t arrive in time. Eddie dies. Max is put in a coma.
Steve fails. They lose.
“Steve, how many loops have you been through?”
His head is nodding, and his eyes are watery, and Eddie has approached him like a spooked animal.
“I lost count.”
AKA: The one where Steve Harrington is stuck in a time loop, and Eddie Munson is really fucking hard to save, or: fuck Volume 2, these bitches are in love.

The babysitters groupchat may have started as a means of keeping tabs on the kids and each other, but at some point it evolved into a space for Steve's daily rants about Dustin's mysterious new bff. Not that Robin, Nancy and Jonathan are complaining - it is definitely more entertaining than their usual carpool texts.

Summary
Eddie Munson isn't very good at puzzles.
Well.
He can make them, sure, in the form of weeks-long campaigns for his bandmates and a ragtag group of now sophomores he'd come to adore. He's great at making them. Great at making villains that his party thought they'd had figured out, beaten, only to make a quick 180 and have them come back from the dead for a final, earth-shattering fight. Yeah. He can make them.
What Eddie Munson can't do when it comes to puzzles, is figure them the fuck out. Especially, it seems, when the puzzle comes in the form of a boy one year younger than him and slightly shorter when you don't count his mass of gorgeous hair that makes him, falsely, look taller than Eddie. This puzzle had saved the world with him, had saved him when he was sure he was a goner.
The puzzle's name, of course, is Steve Harrington. King Steve, to many, Hawkins High's golden boy, rich and charming and apparently, a fucking badass.
Eddie never stood a chance.

Summary
Sure, they've saved the world, but the best part of that really is that it doesn't end there and in a town where everyone thinks he murdered a girl, he's at least got Steve Harrington and Robin Buckley. It's really not his fault he accidentally starts living at Steve's house, he was invited, after all. There's a mystery too, about Barbara Holland and Steve's pool.
“Your boner is digging into me,” says Robin, and Steve snorts a tired sort of laugh.
“I don’t have a —”
“You do, I can feel it. Gross.”
“Okay, but it’s only a little one,” he says in a small voice which sounds like he’s impersonating someone.
“Are you ever going to let that go? I peed a little bit when the Russians got the torture devices out, okay?” She sounds amused, though.
Eddie jolts. “Russian torture devices?”
Robin carries on like she didn’t hear him but Steve catches his eye and he’s grinning. “How do you even have a boner dude? You were definitely having a nightmare I know your twitching means a nightmare… Did you have a boner over Vecna?”

Summary
Eddie Munson wasn't ready to die, but he never wanted to come back like this: a wrong thing, twisted by Vecna, and utterly alone.
Steve Harrington was finally beginning to make friends with his loneliness, until Eddie Munson came back from the dead and barreled straight into him. Now nothing is the same, and Steve? He's actually pretty okay with that.
