Perry’s offer of Managing Editor at the Planet should have felt like a reward, but it felt like a punishment instead. Facing down thirty-something years behind a desk, Clark said yes to an off-handed job offer.
Four years later, Clark has been doing his best to juggle his obligation as Superman with his new career in the FBI. That balance is threatened when Clark is asked to consult on a case with Dr. Bruce Wayne, one of the FBI’s most notorious agents who can’t escape the rumors surrounding his parents' death when he was seventeen. Bruce is brilliant, but nearly impossible to work with and has a reputation for driving off his partners.
Bruce seems to have uncovered suspicious similarities in scores of deaths across the U.S. spanning decades. There is no link between the victims aside from a repeated stab pattern during their murder. Like a signature, hidden in an art piece.
Together, the two men set out to uncover whoever is behind these vicious deaths. But Bruce Wayne has secrets of his own and Clark is left wondering how many skeletons are buried at Wayne Manor.

And they have a son.As each side scrambles to swap their Clarks back, Bruce and Clark find themselves grappling with new questions about their life together, faced with the possibility of things having gone differently for not just the two of them, but their children—the ones they have, and the one they've never met. Along the way, they do their best not to to blow up their counterparts' lives by dredging up any long-buried feelings. (They may or may not succeed at that last.)

He didn’t think about it again until the next morning, when his phone wouldn’t stop buzzing and clearly tried to kill itself by falling off his bedside table. When he finally opened his phone he had a text from Barry that just said: “YOU JUST BROKE THE INTERNET!!”
Hal was confused until he realized one of his videos must have gone viral. Then he was smug.
Or, Hal broke the internet with one post, and now Clark and Bruce are trending for all the wrong (or right?) reasons.
