Summary
Bellamy sees Blodreina in armor and war paint, a ruthless leader of her people - but she is also still his sister, who needs his comfort and understanding.
How the conversation between Bellamy and Octavia in 5x04 should have gone.
“I never wanted any of this. You were more right than you knew with that Prometheus metaphor.” She was quiet for a moment, but Bellamy could tell she wasn’t finished, so he didn’t interrupt her thoughts. “I saved them, and sacrificed myself in the process.” She looked away from him.
“O…” Bellamy didn’t know what to say. He didn’t know what had happened. But right now, he knew that wasn’t what mattered. “O… if you need forgiveness, I’ll give that to you. You’re forgiven. Whatever war you had to fight down there to survive, it’s over, okay? You’re on the ground now. You made it. Your people made it.”

Summary
Clarke worries when Madi shows up to meet Wonkru, knowing that there will be questions of how she survived Praimfaya - but realizes that it is in her best interest to ally with Octavia so that they can both protect her. And by doing so, she realizes that she and Octavia have a lot more in common now six years later than they ever had before.
How the conversation between Clarke, Madi and Octavia in 5x06 should have gone.
“We’re joining Wonkru?” Clarke asked. “I’m not sure how I feel about that.”
“Doesn’t matter how you feel, Clarke.” Octavia said, running a fingernail along a groove in the tabletop. “You want to protect Madi, this is how we do it. Because if we don’t, people will use her against me, and trust me when I say neither of us are going to like where that ends up.”
“You’ve learned a lot over the past six years.”
“I’ve had to. None of this comes naturally to me. I’m not like you.”

Summary
Kane watches in horror as Octavia shoots three people in the cafeteria to force them - force him to eat their dead. His horror only grows afterward when Abby confesses her role in the drama - and then he knows that she's not the one who needs his solace, but rather the lost girl whose pain is only just beginning.
How Kane should have responded after learning the truth about the Dark Year and Abby's role in it.
Kane looked around the room, looking for Octavia, searching with his eyes until he finally spotted her, curled up in a far corner of the room. She was still dressed in the same clothes she’d been wearing in the cafeteria. Her eyes rubbed red, tears stained her cheeks, but her stare was vacant as her fingers scrambled frantically through her hair, weaving one messy braid after another. She didn’t seem to register his presence.
He approached her slowly, kneeling down on the cold floor in front of her. “You haven’t done that in years. Not since Lincoln died.”
Her stare fixed on him for a brief moment, and drifted off again as her fingers sped up, hands visibly trembling. She said nothing.
“Abby told me everything.”

Summary
Echo watches Bellamy challenge Octavia in the middle of the streets of Polis, and she knows what it will mean for Octavia if it continues - and she knows what she must do to stop it, to get Bellamy on his sister's side, and unite Wonkru, all at the same time.
How the conversation between Echo, Bellamy and Octavia in 5x06 should have gone.
"She’s your blood.”
“But you’re my family.”
Echo smiled sadly. “And that’s why I need to do this. Bellamy, you don’t know how lucky you are. I’m grateful for you, and Monty and Harper and Raven and Emori and yes, even Murphy. You are my family. But that still doesn’t compare to having such a bond your entire life like you’ve had with Octavia. We can’t be at war with one another. Promise me. Promise me that you’ll use your big heart again. That you’ll show your sister the love that she needs. If you don’t do that, there’s no way we can win this war, because she’ll always be looking over her shoulder at you.”
Bellamy sighed. “What if I lose you in that pit?”
“You won’t. I’ve got this.”

Summary
This wasn't the world Diyoza was expecting to find upon returning to Earth. And she certainly wasn't expecting her people to be in a hostage situation. But the hostage-taker and his girlfriend weren't in charge - that honour belonged to the girl with bloody war paint on her forehead and 800 people following her every order. She's the one Diyoza needed to talk to.
The conversation that Diyoza and Octavia should have had in 5x04.
“That’s right. My people. They’re awake, and they’ve taken your brother’s people prisoner. So if my people down here do something your brother doesn’t like, and he tries to make that call, he doesn’t have any leverage anymore.”
“Why are you telling me this?” Octavia asked.
“Because neither of us like being given ultimatums. So let’s say we cut out the middleman. If we can make a deal, then all of our people can live. Because if we can’t, then your brother has started a war, and it is your people that are going to die in it. It’ll be a war that will be long and bloody and over the last piece of survivable land on Earth. We’ll both take losses we’d rather not. We might even lose that land and then we all die.”
“I’m listening.”

Summary
Madi knocks Clarke out to prevent her from taking her away, and returns to Wonkru after her ascension. She learns the depth of Bellamy and Indra's treachery, and together, she, Octavia and Gaia plan for a new tomorrow.
How Madi should have reacted at the end of 5x09.
“I know people want to follow me. But I want them to follow you.”
Octavia blinked. “Why? After everything that has happened in the past few days, people are trying their hardest to make sure no one does.”
“That’s a mistake.” Madi said. “Wonkru needs you. You led them through the darkness. You need to lead them to the light. To their future. And I think the person who needs that most of all is you.”

Summary
Aboard the Eligius IV, Niylah searches for Octavia before they all head into cryosleep. She has something important to tell her, and when everything is laid bare between them, she has one last task before she sleeps herself: Watch over Octavia and keep her safe, which comes with an unexpected reveal of Wonkru's secrets to people she'd least expected.
How Niylah should have been the one to send Octavia into cryosleep with happy memories and thoughts in 5x13, instead of Bellamy.
Niylah pressed the button Monty had shown her, and saw how Octavia slid into the box, the glass lid coming over to seal her in. She watched, fascinated, as the ice crystallized along the inside of the box, like it had on all of the others around them.
Octavia looked like one of the princesses from the stories they’d read in the bunker, the sleeping princesses in their glass coffins who needed a prince to awaken them from their slumber.
But Octavia was no princess, she was a queen, and somehow fate had seen fit to hand her, Niylah, a mere healer, the role of the queen’s guardian and defender, and the one to wake her with a kiss when the time came.
