I wanted to try my had at writing some backstories, especially for characters like Zenix who's stories have been directly retconned multiple times :| That being said, this probably breaks canon (tho this is canon to my main fic, Rise of Phoenix Drop Reimagined. You're welcome to go read it if you like this style, but you can enjoy this without knowing my fic.) But this is definitely more in line with og mcd rather than Rebirth. Sorry not sorry?
