Summary
The first thing that I see when I enter the conference room for the diagnosis department is a little girl sitting in one of the chairs. She has white-blond hair that end in curls. She is wearing a hot-pink fuzzy dress. Her little legs are covered in light grey tights and dark grey boots that reaches her ankles.
She is coloring quietly, just paying attention to her book and her jumbo colors. I keep walking until I left my own cup of coffee on the table. The movement make her raise her head and piercing blue eyes look intensely at me.
“Hello there,” I say to her, smiling softly. “My name is Allison Cameron,” I say to her and she smiles up at me. “What’s your name?"

Summary
I lock the screen of my new smartphone and take my red and grey ball to start playing with it. I throw it up and it comes down, as it should be.
“Our patient is nearly dying; we have no diagnosis but you sit here and throw a ball just for fun?” Cameron says, standing up, nearly spilling her coffee over her.
A little knock in the glass door starts all my two ducklings. They turn their heads and I take that moment to appreciate my beautiful husband. His hair is falling over his forehead and he is wearing ocean blue long sleeves sweater, baby blue scrubs and white crocs bistro zuecos.
He looks so fucking handsome that I have to stop and wonder how I ended up with such a lovely specimen of a man. He is all the things that I am not and then, a bit more.

“I want out of this place,” the yell nearly makes me scream. He is in my next bed.
"Sir, you need to stay down," I say to him, putting my hand on his chest and applying pressure so he takes the hint to lay down again. "I promise you we are readying the O.R. so we can extract the tube from your arm."
"I'm not gonna listen to a foreign doctor," he says, slapping my hand away.
"Sir you need to lay down so the blood can keep flowing evenly to all the parts of your..." He slaps me in the face with his good hand and I see black spots dancing around my vision.
"Doctor Chase, are you okay?" The nurse asks me and the whimper of the little kid a few beds down make the pain in my skull intensify.

“It’s what happens when a solid is put in the fire to overcook,” Chase tells her, going to make a new sandwich. “Did not we talk about you using the microwave?”
Ellie looks at us both, little cogs in her brain moving.
“Maybe,” she says and I laugh.
Chaos came strolling through the school's door.
“She learned that one from you. Your mess, your solution.” I rub the words to my lover and head toward the kitchen door.
Robbie yanks me back.
“She has parents day. Career day,” he says and I roll my eyes. "Whaetever you Americans call it."
“That’s today?” I ask him, huffing. “Can’t you go?”
