The first of my December Christmas little ficlets!
It’s their first Christmas with Buck and Eddie and Christopher want to make it special. And they decide the best way is to start right at the beginning of December and make it a year to remember!

Day 2 of Christmas fics, prompt carolling
Christopher comes home from school one day in December with a look in his eye that Eddie recognises. It’s the look of a boy on a mission, of one with an idea that he wants to do and he’ll try everything he can to do it. And when Buck sees him, Eddie groans internally because the one thing he’s sure about is that Buck adores Christopher and will stop at nothing to help him do what he wants to do.
He’s still shocked, however, when Christopher’s plan to raise the most money for charity that they possibly can is both the most obvious and simultaneously the worst idea he’s ever heard.
“We should go carol singing!”

It’s the monthly crew night out and they’re all at a karaoke bar this time. Eddie hates these sorts of things, but there’s always been one person that can make it bearable. And it’s even better now they’re together, even if no one else knows yet. It’s not that they’re embarrassed - more that they want time to savour with just them - and usually it’s OK, because when they’re at work they’re professional. Here though, out in a bar, it’s harder for him to keep his eyes and his hands away from his boyfriend.

No inappropriate behaviour at the firehouse.
That was the only stiplement Eddie made when he and Buck started dating, because being with him out of work was exciting and exhilarating and the best thing that had ever happened to Eddie in his life (he’d never felt as free as when he was with Buck, as in love or as happy, not even with Shannon) but in work? They have to be professional, there are lives that depend on them, both their friends and the public, and now they have each other to worry about as well. And Eddie knows that even a momentary lapse could be fatal. And so he was firm about the rule, even when Buck pouted at him and tried to reason with him that a few kisses and cuddles wouldn’t matter.
Which is why the situation he now finds himself in is ironic

Buddie week day 7: free choice. I decided to go for a 5 + 1 fic of Eddie’s favourite kisses from Buck.

They’ve been together for a while now and Eddie knows he loves Buck, even if no one else knows yet. And he’s had plenty of time to catalogue what Buck’s kisses are like. He goes all in, like there’s nothing else he wants to be doing, and Eddie, someone who always struggled with love and affection and attraction, has found that kissing or being kissed by Buck is his favourite thing in the entire world. But he has his favourite Buck kisses. He’s only human, after all, and Buck is the most beautiful person he thinks he’s ever met (after Christopher, of course), so he’s bound to have the kisses that make his heart flutter every time he remembers them.

Eddie knows this, has known this for a while since before they started dating. It’s adorable, he’s always thought it adorable, seeing how Buck steals blankets and snuggles in to whoever is sitting closer to him, but being the main recipient of Buck’s need for warmth is even better. It’s now Eddie who gets to hug Buck to warm him up, it’s Eddie who he snuggles up to on the sofa, it’s Eddie who gets to drape over him at night.

Eddie's hand creeps into Buck’s, squeezing tight because he knows what the Buckley’s can do to Buck, how they can make him feel and it’s so comforting, just having his boyfriend’s strength and support no matter what.
“I thought we could do the family photo this afternoon,” Margaret says into the sudden silence.

Buck has already gone to work, leaving only a faint memory of a kiss behind and Eddie’s grumpy until he gets his second mug of coffee and so right now, he stares blearily at his wide awake, enthusiastic kid and tries to summon up energy from somewhere. “What?”
